Bivol could have knocked out that little ginger midget but took pity on him

    Keep telling yourself that.:eaea:

That little ginger midget showed more fight, skill and heart against Bivol than the much Bigger Beterbiev who barely threw a meaningful punch all night and got a gift decision.

What crying on the ropes pretending he wasn't hurt pretending to goad Bivol in? No fight in that ginger bum when a real boxer gets in front of him. If Billie Joe didn't bum around for so many years he could have boxed a blinder on him also. Crawford is nervous because he's not defensivly skilled as uncle Floyd and he would have to deal with a none green Canelo's size which Floyd used a weight drain for.

When he gassed, he used high level defense to try to slip punches. He didn't just stand there covering up on the ropes like Bivol did on several occassions. But the point is that Beterbiev didn't push him or pressure him as hard as Canelo did, at least in the early going. Beterbiev and Bivol was much more of a sparring session than Canelo Bivol which was actually a fight.

Well I always said that the David Lemieux version of BJS would have given Canelo fits, but he didn't have those fast feet anymore, he didn't have that kind of quick movement by the time he fought Canelo.

    Well that's true.

Huh? With the exception of Clenelo he's fought nothing but bigger ''stronger'' men or much-way bigger throughout his career whilst simultaneously being one of the hardest fighters to hit, like literally 1-3 hardest to hit in the entire sport.

Beterbiev was the first fighter he's fought with power and skill. Canelo is small and can't crack an egg at 175. Joe Smith who I love is powerful but has no skill at all.

Bivol had serious problems with Beterbiev's power and skill. A more dynamic skillset would help a lot. Bivol is a linear fighter.

Utter nonsense. He's fought a bunch of guys with power and skills

Most notably the current unified CW champion Zurdo who was way bigger than him and had stopped everyone he fought at 175

And he weighed 3-5lbs more than Clenelo. The weight difference between Beterbiev and him would've been at least 5lbs

As Beterbiev said during the first press conference when asked why the fight took so long..."I dont know, ask him [Bivol]".

Bivol waited till Beter was 40 for a reason.

He is pretty basic. Basic punch selection and variety. Poor inside game, poor body puncher, doesn't throw many upper cuts. He is also very open to the body when he sits mid range in the high guard. I don't think he anywhere near the best pure boxer when he is so basic.

I think Plant is a better pure boxer than him with more variety and tools in his game. Could list many more. People are just high on Bivol because he beat a blown up middle weight a few years ago, and Zurdo who is B level. Bivol is pretty good overall but nothing special in terms of skills.

I completely agree with everything you said, except one thing. Beterbiev, in my opinion, has very good technical skills.

Bivol can't fight inside, and he has bad stamina.

But how can Bivol make other fighters look so bad, except Beterbiev?

It is the sanctimonious right of online forum to disparage the ability of professional boxers. I partake in this right as well.

The fact he got nailed and wobbled by a slugger like Joe Smith who didn't have the big amateur upbringing suggests to me that the technical side is a bit overrated and Kovalev would have KO'd him.
