When I watch absolute peak Wlad and absolute peak Vitali fight, I see that Wlad was better. But eye test is subjective. Vitali didn't test himself as much as Wlad did.
You said Vitali didn't test himself as much as Wlad. He has fought the best opponent and tested himself more. He was injured so took a few years off, which just so happens to be when Wlad started collecting belts.
He has fought the best opponent yes, but he didn't test himself more. He only fought 8 Top 10 guys over the course of his career, while Wlad fought 19 of them, over twice as many. Glass body, just like a glass jaw, is a weakness in a fighter. This weakness prevented Vitali from being better.
Well it didn't stop Vitali defeating Purrity and Sanders like it did Wlad. You keep conflating better with greater, that's your problem.
Top fighters simply do not need to fight as often due to the share of the PPV revenue they earn as well as the fact the more often they would fight it would become harder to charge a prime PPV fee for every fight .
But it stopped him from beating Byrd. Style makes fights. To me Wlad was better & greater. Vitali did nothing in his career that would indicate he was better than Wlad. He only had a better chin, that's it.
It didn't. A torn rotator cuff stopped him from beating Byrd. Vitali was a better fighter, Wlad never would have been champion had he not got injured.
Did you watch the Byrd fight? He had a serious injury. Byrd only beat him because he was injured Wasn't like Byrd had him rolling all over the floor like we have seen wlad many times
And he tore his rotator cuff swinging at air because Byrd was too slick for him and he had a glass body. And again Vitali's glass body turned out to be a bigger obstacle in his career than glass chin was to Wladimir. And Vitali would have never been a champion if Wlad didn't have a glass jaw and sus gas tank. We can "woulda" like that all day long.
