Is Wlad Klitschko last of a dying breed?

Yeah, I watched the fight. It was closer than people remember. Vitali was outworking and outlanding Byrd slightly (15 punches I think), but Byrd had good flurries and made Vitali miss A LOT. Vitali was swinging at air which caused him to tear his rotator cuff and eventually quit (nothing wrong with that tho, you live to fight another day). Byrd was a stylistic nightmare for Vitali, he wanted no parts of the rematch and sent out his brother to take revenge. That was the first installment of "Revenge of the Klitschkos".

 

Wlad sent out his brother to avenge him getting smashed to pieces on more than one occasion. Samuel Peter didn't have vitali skating on ice either

It's pretty clear to most that vitali in his prime was a much more formidable force. Yes wlad has more power and text book skills, but he had a glass jaw and was mentally fragile, hence why he didn't throw a punch against Fury. I know he was 38, but that was embarrassing

 

On two occasions to be exact. So it's 2:1 with Wlad being the first one to avenge his brother.

Styles make fights. Ali struggled with Norton and Frazier, Foreman sparked them both out, but Ali beat Foreman.

It's not. It's your opinion, but a lot people view peak Wlad as a better boxer than peak Vitali.

And Vitali had a glass body who impacted his career way more than a glass jaw of Wlad. I don't know about being mentally fragile. Wlad always got up from knockdowns wanting to fight and go out on his shield. Fury fight was embarrasing for sure, I'll give you that.

 

Toney was robbed, and he was a blown up middleweight lol

Well nobody can accuse Wlad of ducking any fighters as he fought the top ranked boxers of his era
