Agree. I asked Fury/AJ Wilder's rivals a couple weeks back and they were given 20-40 range but obviously they are rated quite a bit higher than Wilder.

He would have beaten glass-jawed, old Louie Ortiz as well. Ortiz is one of the more overrated HW of recent times.

It's an interesting discussion and falls into what I keep saying in that fighters constantly or more often taking tough fights are more likely to have slip ups or lose fights that they could more often than not win
In some cases other fighters get rated higher than some other fighters by not taking as tough fights let others lose and get rated higher by remaining undefeated by facing lesser competition

It is hard to gauge as say take these 5 fights Chisora has had in a row
    - Undefeated Fury
    - Ziausys
    - Undefeated prime Helenius away
    - Vitali Klitschko
    - David Haye

    Or these 6 fights
    - Whyte
    - Filpovic
    - Kabayel
    - Azzouzi
    - Takam
    - Whyte

    Or these 5 fights
    - Usyk
    - Parker
    - Parker
    - Pulev
    - Fury

Definitely debatable in that Wilder was an Undefeated world champion with several defences and a big KO percentage
Whereas Chisora potentially may have some arguably better wins in Joyce, Pulev and Wallin

They have mixed results with common opposition

    Wasn't aware of that
    Wonder why it didn't happen?
At that time Chisora had shared a ring with Fury, Haye, Vitali, undefeated Helenius, D Williams

    Chisora is greater without question.

As already stated, Wilder would have the same number of losses as Chisora if he fought Chisora's competition. If roles were reversed, Chisora would have the same record as Wilder since most of Wilder's wins were against Washermen (as James Toney put it). Chisora also nearly beat a guy who shut out Wilder in Joseph Parker. They both lost to Fury, so that's a wash.

Boxing fans get stuck on the zero because of Floyd Mayweather, who also ducked challenges just not to the extent that Wilder did. They think because one fighter has more losses, they are worse than someone with less losses. But your competition matters more.

When Wilder was actually knocking people out, he would have splattered Del
Del would get caught down the pipe at some point
His only saving grace is that when he comes in, he comes in low and tucks his chin away well

Wilder would have caught him eventually

Wilder's chin is worse than Chisora's. Maybe Wilder lands a right hand on Chisora and KO's him but otherwise the pressure would eventually get to Wilder and he'd get stopped. Chisora was also the better boxer between the two of them. I'd favor Chisora to win H2H.

20 is a bit high for either of them, I think, but 30-40 might well be about right... They're both flawed, they have very definite plusses and minuses, but overall they're undeniably legit contenders.

Wilder on the other hand... I doubt is even top 100.

No question Chisora has faced FAR better comp and accumulated more notable wins. All Wilder has are utter stiffs, mediocre journeymen and a couple of ancient contenders in Stiverne and Ortiz.

Most deluded British fans believe he won those fights.

I think I would still say Wilder but it's closer than the record suggests. Chisora is a very good fighter still though.

The reason Chisora fights 'risky' fights is because he lost so much that he has nothing to lose and keeps getting fights due to his 'brand' based on the rabble who support him.
Most other fighters that lost this many times would have no opportunities left for 'big fights'.
It's not some case of him being 'brave'.
He's actually just spoiled by his location and backing and so keeps getting asked to be in big fights that he almost always loses. Plenty of fighters would do this.

Due to his style he might beat somebody Wilder loses to. But vice versa far more often.
Reality is he probably doesn't beat Stiverne I who had just beaten Arreola twice and KO'd him badly which nobody else had done, even Vitali.
He probably doesn't beat Ortiz I.
He might not beat the Helenius Wilder fought either, who had just beaten the fat Pole. Chisora is not one-punching Helenius like that.
He never did as well against Fury as we know.
He probably also gets KO'd by Zhang.

But if you really think Chisora is the same level you have to ask yourself this. Why have top fighters always been happy to fight him while always been wary of Wilder or outright avoided him?

Where's the evidence for Wilder being avoided? Seems he could get big fights if he wanted going by the Zhang and Parker matchups
