Bit of a shame, I actually think this would've ended up being a fight we'd all have looked back on fondly. I don't known if Schofield would have won but he'd have brought the fight to Stevenson and made him work. Maybe they can get it done sometime down the line.

Now I'm conflicted on what would be worse. Shakur fighting Padley, which would prolly be harder to watch than paint drying or grass growing, or an extension on the dumbass concert we'll get before the main event.

Not particularly fond of either option, but hey, **** it, extended bathroom break either way

Turki should have Shakur just shadow box for 12 rounds. Probably be his most exciting fight to date. LOL

Nah the silver lining for me is I don't have to endure Shakur's ugly mug early on a Sunday morning

Well that sucks. That was probably the only interesting fight to look forward to from Shakur but now that’s off.

It was the BBB that pulled him from the fight, after he was hospitalized. So most likely it's the real deal. While I was genuinely pumped for this fight and thought Floyd had more than a decent chance at springing the upset, it's probably for the best, at this point, even if he did do enough which was highly possible based on activity to get the win, him actually winning the decision was slim to none. Shakur is clearly a protected fighter, who will always get the benefit of the doubt with the corrupt judges. Floyd is too likable, exciting and talented a fighter, who unlike Shakur is a joy to watch, and one of the hopes for the future as far as US boxing is concerned. To take an unfair career derailing L this early in his career. So while I don't think it was too soon, hopefully he can build his resume with some more quality wins, raise his profile even higher, so if they do eventually clash somewhere down the road, he may actually have a fighting chance on the judges scorecards. Granted, the A-side inexplicably will always be the profoundly unlikable boring slicksters.

Wouldn't surprise me at all as it doesn't make sense that the Schofield kid would willingly back out of the biggest pay day of his career.

Jack Catterall is available. He didn't expend much energy last weekend so he'd be ready. I cannot imagine a more boring match.

All the crap that people are talking about "SNAC" is hilarious. As if Conte would risk further jail time to supply boxers with performance enhancing drugs. And to insinuate that he has anything at all to do with VADA testing or rigging VADA testing.

Most of the people talking crap are probably huge Ryan Garcia and Jake Paul fans. Social media has killed boxing talk. So many people talking **** and so many people believing and furthering it.

I'm not a Ryan nor Jake fan and am not well informed enough to comment on SNAC, but to suggest that Conte wouldn't risk jail time by supplying boxers with performance enhancing drugs is a bit naive in my opinion.

Not all, but many criminals/felons commit crimes again after getting busted the first time..

He's not a "criminal" in the sense of your average criminal on the street. He ****ed up. He did the time. From everything I have heard, read and seen him post since his release from jail makes it pretty obvious that he'd never go down that path again.

He's owned SNAC forever. He didn't create the company when he was released from jail. He owned the company before the BALCO scandal. It's a standard supplement company. Anyone who thinks he would sell "gear" via SNAC...again...is ****ing stupid.

If he did a boxer or boxers would have popped, and the trail would have lead straight back to SNAC.

Have boxers sponsored by SNAC tested positive? YES! But not once has it been attributed to Conte. What they do outside of his sponsorship/supplements is on them. That's from the horses mouth.

He's being used as a scapegoat by stupid people who want to talk stupid **** on social media for views and likes. Including Memo Heredia, who rather than do jail time for his role in the BALCO scandal INFORMED on a whole bunch of people who did time, then he walked away without punishment.

It's only a few years ago that a boxer (can't recall his name) said Memo offered him the normal program or the "special" program for a lot more money. But no one talks about that or Memo?!?

"Conte served time in prison in 2005 after pleading guilty to conspiracy to distribute steroids and to money laundering."

Criminals aren't just thugs on the street. He committed crimes which weren't mistakes, they were intentional. Thus my comment that
many criminals/felons commit crimes again after getting busted the first time.

Again, I'm not a Ryan nor Jake fan. You happen to think Conte is flying straight nowadays, cool, he might be, but I don't know that he is. He'll always be associated with assisting pro athletes cheat. A thief will always be thought of as a thief just as a cheat will always be thought of as a cheat.

Conte's crimes lined his pockets with lots of money so the guy has been proven to do shady S-hit for money. He will always associated with helping pro athletes cheat for money just like Ryan will always be associated as a PED user because he popped dirty.

Having said all that, I'm not implying that he's involved in Steroids again. What I am saying is that it would be rather silly to think that he wouldn't be involved in helping pro boxers cheat because he doesn't want to risk going to jail again when he's already proved that if the money is right he's willing to help pro athletes cheat.

I'm surprised the courts allowed him to be involved with pro athletes again considering that most criminals when convicted are prohibited from being around or working in the same field to which their crimes were associated with. For example, cyber criminals, when convicted are prohibited from working or using computers...
