No one perceives Chisora as a prospect or world champ, but then no one perceives him as a coddled hypejob either, which is what Wilder was accused of being throughout his tenure as 'world champ' and later proven to be.

Chisora is ultimately a man who wrung every bit of ability out of his talent and never backed down from anyone, while Wilder is a man who hid away and was content to let others think he was something he wasn't.

I'll give Wilder credit, he made a lot of money for being a limited slugger. He was matched carefully and got the most out of his career.

The hype he gets is very strange since his resume isn't very good. Once Wilder stepped up, he lost every time. Chisora has a ton of losses but they are against the absolute best at HW. Some of his losses were razon thin too. I don't see the argument for Wilder, who cares if he had title defenses they were against the Eric Molina's, Breazeale's, and Washington's of the world. Not exactly a murderers row for HW.

See your now changing the goal posts.
pov n pulev fought Wlad in a different era and both got battered, that doesn’t increase your ranking years later.

Whyte fought AJ years before this, when both were unranked and British level.

the rankings are the rankings, you may as well quit watching boxing if you no longer believe in official rankings as that means there is no official champion. Usyk is a fake undisputed if the governing bodies are false.

Ortiz was better than pov at that time. POV’s peak was better than Ortiz but that was around a decade before Ortiz peak, which we are looking at in these rankings.

To be fair Mike had 19 fights in a year or so lol
They just wanted to keep him busy and get the rounds in. Tyson was fighting every other week at times

Just checked he literally did fight 19 times in 12 months lol

It was just training and gaining experience. Take someone like usyk 10 years to fight that often

The guy named fighters came up with 65 but noted (I think) wilder is not necessarily at the bottom of those 65.

my opinion is irrelevant and I’ve not tried ranking hw in history. The best is Ali or Louis, my fave is probably George, the rest of the champs are highly respected.

    Stiverne
    Ortiz
    Fury
    Brezeale
    Ortiz
    Fury
    Fury
    Helenius
    Parker
    Zhang

Chisora fights that level and not as an “opponent”? Chisora gave fury hell and fury says he’s not the same since?
he’s not looked the same either?
Chisora could have won 2 of his 3 fights with fury save for ref decisions.

    ???
    Delusions

Oh yes he did!!! He surpassed him as he’s still going and Mike isn’t.

chisoras fought more ranked fighters than Mike too. I don’t use official rankings as they are bogus, I use my personal ranking system and all Tyson victims were bums who did nothing. Lost to mckneely and Williams ffs.

    I know.

Wilder also fought very regularly compared to his competitors.
The same people just wanted to keep him busy and get the rounds in too. Wilder was fighting every other week at times too.

Why was it a positive for Mike but used as a negative for wilder?

How is that a different era? Klitschko fought Pulev in 2014 and Povetkin in 2012. That's 4 and 6 years before the rankings in 2018. You think the 2021 era is different than now? You have at least a few guys from 10 years ago still in the top 10 (like Fury, AJ, and Parker).

Ortiz was not better than Povetkin at the time. He was never better than him at any point in his career.

I think the ratings are biased because boxing is a business after all.

And your Usyk example is terrible because he fought the champions at HW four times and won every bout. He beat Dubois who is carving out a good resume. Wilder beat one guy who was ranked too high and lost every other fight when he stepped up his competition.

Nobody can beat usyk. Ali and Foreman combined wouldn't win a round
