Bivol is limited? He’s not a big puncher. He wins off sheer skill, athleticism, technique. Bivol is one of the most skilled fighters in the world. there’s no way that Beterbiev actually thinks Bivol isn’t a damn good fighter.
I haven't gotten that vibe. He has said plenty of times Bivol is a good boxer and he even admitted to Bivol having better skills than him. I think what may come off as a lack of respect is Beterbiev being in fight mode.
He's got an incredibly horrible offense. His idea of an offense is just throwing 1-2-1s over and over again. Sure, he's slick but he's entirely limited by the Soviet amateur style.
Why do you need Beterbiev to be a nice guy? He's respectful enough to Bivol. He's an undisputed pro boxer, he doesn't have to go around praising all his opponents. If they want that, they can beat him in the ring. I remember hearing about Beterbiev getting kicked out of his amateur gyms for starting fights.
I guess Bivol likes to butter toast and takes the butter knife and gets toast crumbs back onto the stick of the butter. With the butter knife.
@Shazzar23 LIMITED?! Dude log off because that is off the scale trolling. He's one of the p4p best and most skilled.
Nothing to stop his opponents from doing the same? Seems like a crybaby excuse It's the job of referees to put a stop to it
Beterbiev is fake, that is why, the fake humble religious nice-guy act, so people assumed he would be respectful but his true nature comes out in times like this. Fake proud Chechen who abandoned the place for a 'better life' aka more money in the Anglo world. Fake sportsman who loves his HGH. It's similar to Khabib in the UFC who has the same persona really. Fake nice guy who then gangs up on that Russian with a dozen scumbags to threaten and slap him like a street thug on camera, which led to the McGregor bus attack in revenge. Ironically Mcgregor, a more open POS, was actually pretty accurate about Khabib and saw through the act. There was also that time Khabib was getting that homeless guy to do push-ups for money. It would be funny if Bivol could land a sneaky counter and surprise KO Hormones. Stranger things have happened.
I've already explained why above. He has a horrible offensive game with no variation. He's slick, but he does nothing but throw 1-2-1s at the same speed, same cadence. Over. And. Over. On top of that, he doesn't leverage his weight or turn his punches over. He's a Soviet amateur boxer. It is what it is. Nobody even knew he was until whooped Canelo. Beating a guy moving up well above his prime weight does make Bivol P4P. Stop being a fanboy.
He said it himself. Bivol avoided him for years and then he said that Beterbiev already sign a deal to fight him, when he was fighting Callum Smith.
