Wow, all been happening. Great replacement all things considered. However I do wonder what shape Bakole is in, last video I seen him on the bag he looked huge. That was a while ago so he I hope he is fighting fit. Should be a good tussle if so.
If its now Parker V Bakole that's just as good a fight as Parker V Dubois. The scummy S*udis know how to throw money around dont they
I think Bakole and Billy might be doing this for publicity. I don't think they really want to be taking this on 2 days notice, when they are already on the verge of getting a title shot.
Kabayel should have been upgraded to fight Parker for the interim belt, and Bakole brought in to be matched against Zhang.
It was a voluntary defence by Dubois. Technically Parker was mandatory for the WBO strap after beating Zhang.
Joshua would probably cost too much, especially at this late stage. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the back up plan all along, like you said. Dubois, Parker, Zhang, Kabayal, and Bakole have all established themselves as the best contenders in the HW division recently. Four of them were supposed to be fighting on Saturday. I imagine Turki told Bakole to be ready on standby in case anyone pulls out. That could be why Bakole had the Ajagba fight set up in case no one pulled out. It would also ensure that if Bakole had to step in, he will be in reasonable shape.
Yeah let’s stop gobbling their dongs people. Turkey is obviously paying them a stupid amount of money to take the fight.
I had Dubois down to catch and stop Parker very quickly but for me now, Parker gets a win over a reportedly 60% fit Bakole. The Joyce, Wilder and Zhang fights give him the experience to neutralise Bakole for a late stoppage or more likely, a solid points decision. Plus Parker had trained a full camp for a quicker, more powerful and more youthful fighter in Dubois. Would like to see the winner get Usyk.
Bakole would have been on standby for this fight if either of them pulled out. He would not have just been lying on the couch. He may not be 100% fit but then he never is.
I still just don't think Joe Parker is particularly good. I thought it was an easy night for Dubois. Bakole at odds against is appealing
"He beat Wilder" When Wilder completely refuses to attempt a single right hand in a fight, he is quite literally an Area level guy. The performance from Wilder that night was one of the worst I've ever seen in a big fight.
Absolutely nowhere near a title shot unless the belts fragment. This is a great fight and one punch from making Bakole the bogey man in the division, albeit one the Saudis would gladly stick back in headline fights.
He was on the verge of becoming IBF mandatory, versus Ajagba and everyone would expect him to win that one. IBF call for their mandatories regularly. And Usyk says he only wants 2 more fights.
