In regards to a new fresh opponent for Usyk ? My issue was in regards to Parker vs Dubois is that if Dubois won we would get Usyk having to fight another rematch for a 3rd time against a British fighter yet again.

Atleast with Parker vs Bakole whoever wins we could get a fresh opponent for Usyk and a new stylistic challenge.

I think it was by far the best possible outcome bar Usyk himself stepping in to fight Parker (highly unrealistic) that we could get. I'm still shocked it's happening. I said it on another thread but the only thing I can remember remotely close to such a good heavyweight late replacement was Vitali stepping in to fight Lennox Lewis

Think it's more likely that they'll just make Usyk vs Dubois 2 straight away now.

Parker vs Bakole winner will be a mandatory for Usyk's WBO belt and Usyk don't like to drop belts if he doesn't have to.

When will Usyk get called to face his mandatory though? Not sure about the order of the sanctioning bodies and the timelines.

WBO is next in line. The last time they set up a mandatory was in 2021 when AJ had to fight Usyk, ironically.

I hope the winner fights Usyk so if Dubois is to fight him after Usyk will be even older. I don’t mind Dubois not fighting him again at all so he can go on a good winning streak with many title defences but he wants undisputed fight as the money is too much.

I think Usyk is looking for the IBF belt he never lost in the ring. So that kinda makes this immaterial don’t you think? Dubois will still be the front runner for him.

Parker Usyk would be boring. Parker won’t sell out

I think it depends a lot on what Turki wants to see, if he wants to see Parker/Bakole against Usyk then the WBO mandatory will get their shot. But if he wants the reunification it'll be Dubois.

There is also the IBF to consider though, they might enforce a mandatory, they gave Dubois a pass to face Parker on the promise that he fought a mandatory next, but I'm not sure whats happening now.

There's no mando for IBF set. Bakole was supposed to fight Ajagba for that, but now, if he wins the WBO Interim belt, he will be removed from the rankings. So will see.

Usyk has no time to waste, so he’s gonna go after the IBF strap for Undisputed. That’s Dubois. Then hopefully, he fights the winner of Parker-Bakole for his final fight.

I don't think anythings going to stop Usyk from rematching British fighters. Regardless who wins hes going to want Dubois or Chisora. Same as Kabayel v Zhang.
