The only guy to stop Braddock sans a stoppage based on a cut from a prior fight was prime Joe Louis. Holyfield was mostly a point fighter at HW. So I don't know where you get that idea.

He would beat everybody who is not Louis.

Versus Louis he goes 1-2 in a trilogy of life and death battles for the ages.

Joe Louis looked like he had his feet stuck in cement.

Holyfield wins unless he gets caught with a bomb

Holyfield stopped Qawi and De Leon who were the same size as the heavies of the 30s and 40s. He was a harder puncher than given credit for at 190. And even if he didn't stop Braddock, Braddock would absorb a 1 sided pummeling

On one hand he had the heart, chin and the athletic genetics to be a good fighter in any era. On the other he wouldn’t have the luxury of an ideal training setting. Possibly not as good of management. And in all honesty, PED’s. So therefore I don’t know how far he’d go.

Yeah but when we do fantasy fights, we take the fighter as they actually were. If I made a Marciano vs Wlad thread, people would automatically say Marciano is too small. But I could say that in Wlad's era, Marciano would be a muscular 220 pounds, about Mike Tysons size. But that's speculation and we don't know what a 220 pound Marciano would be like.

You said he fights from 1935-1950 leaving me to assume that this wasn’t just a Time Machine job for one night only

Sure but I still was talking about the fighter that we actually saw.

In that case he’d likely do well but I’m still not prepared to say that he’d dominate

Can see him losing to Schmeling and Walcott and maybe Billy Conn

It's difficult to say for sure how a 190 lb Vander would fare vs. some of the bigger Louis opponents like Simon & Buddy, given that we only ever saw the 200+ lb version vs. those size fighters.

Both had losses to Evander sized heavies and Holyfield was better than most or all of them

I think Evander beats everybody but Joe Louis. As others have said, I also see him as #2 in that time frame.
