The manner of it was surprising - I expected Parker to be happy to cruise to a wide points win.

Credit to Bakole for even taking it - being less than 100% fit and prepared is a huge handicap at the best of times... To then try and take on someone a couple of levels beyond your best wins? Bordering on silly.

Bakole's still a gatekeeper level fighter unless he proves otherwise - but overhyped? Good god yes.

Bivol dancing around nicely and unloading some beautiful combos in round 9.

I swear bivol barely landed a punch in that round. It was all on the gloves yet they keep giving him credit

This whole card has been an absolute showcase of the beauty of this sport, it’s like when you know you love your woman and then she suprises you in stockings and suspenders

I think Beterbiev gassed himself a bit going so hard early on. He was pressuring so nicely for so many rounds but he has slowed down quite a bit now. He’s still throwing but he’s not putting the same kind of pressure on Bivol at all.

Bivol might be coming of age here .. Beterbiev isn't throwing enough

I think Beterbiev's hard early start has really played against him. He's 40 years old and running out of steam right now, and at that age I don't think it's going to come back as quick as Bivol

These momentum shifts are crazy. One round you're convinced Bivol is going to cruise to a points win, the next that Beterbiev's about to grind him down to a stoppage defeat at some point

Bivol coming back solidly now, great strategy after the first fight.

This fight should be 15 rounds. I don't think we'll ever get a satisfying conclusion in 12 rounds with these guys.
