Yeah it was a close fight. Betebiev had Bivol on the verge of breaking by the halfway point but he faded pretty badly after that.

 

Both fights were close for crying out loud,wtf are you watching.

I can't actually really tell how these fights will affect either man's legacy. I think it'll favour Beterbiev historically that he was this competitive at 40 with his biggest LHW contemporary who was in his pomp.

 

He made Beterbiev look like canelo on the 2nd half of the fight.

Positively for both. They both beat each other and both Undisputed champions and had great fights. Much better than beating another 5-8 fringe guys and retiring.

The 1st fight was close yes and was probably a legit draw.

The 2nd fight Bivol clearly won.

 

I'm sure Turki will want this again, so throw in the astronomical money and it's probably a given.

 

I actually think Beterbiev will retire now. Even if he didn't Bivol's comments sounded like he plans to age him out maybe another year if he wants to fight him again. Its over.

I disagree, imho Bivol intentionaly reserved way more energy for the last part of the fight in this fight, and especially for the last 2 rounds
