Bivol had to push himself harder to throw and land more meaningful punches. In the first one he didn't load up as much and he looked more like he was trying to survive. This time he really dug down deep down the stretch and made sure to show that he was controlling the action more even while fighting off the backfoot. Artur didn't really show much urgency until the 12th when he caught Bivol with that good shot that opened up the cut. Now if that cut had happened earlier it may have slowed Bivol down but it was already too late for Artur at that point.

I'm not even sure I knew Pascal was still active let alone ranked. He hasn't fought a light heavyweight fight in almost two years or won at 175 in almost three years. Gotta love boxing.

I think he will come back better and learn from this I don't think there was much to separate them skill wise biggest difference was the size one looked like he could go down a weight and the other up a weight.
I still don't know how smith ever made super middle a bit like Tony Bellew making LH

Now that the action has finished is it still fair to say the best fight on the best card of all time was the one between two Brits?

Congrats to undisputed champ Bivol on a well deserved victory. Pleased for him but Beterbiev is one of the most beastly 40 y/os to ever grace a boxing ring and it's crazy he can still compete at such a high level against a stylistic nightmare top 4 P4P elite like Bivol at his age

Congrats to J-Park on a surprise early stoppage of Bakole. Feel really bad for Bakole but credit to both men for taking the fight at such late notice. Big testicles from both doing that

Congrats to the Kurdish Slickness Kabayel for his third straight body shot KO finish and for proving those of us who've been singing his praises right once again. But likewise I feel bad for Big Bang he's a great character and so likeable

Congrats to Vergil. He probably did enough to just nick it by a round but man these deep Soviet brothers just cannot ever get the rub of the green in close fights against North Americans and that really grinds my gears

Congrats to Adames. Another close one. Sheeraz will come again

Congrats to Callum Smith on a well deserved victory. Commiserations to Buatsi for a valiant effort. Displayed a a hell of a chin tonight.

A word of advice: Get rid of that frog-eyed Nosferatu looking creep Virgin Hunter and stop taking advice from his filthy dirty cheating protege Dre

    Did I miss anyone?

Oh yeah, congrats to Shakur for taking 9 rounds to grind down a featherfisted domestic level electrician who took the fight on 3-4 days notice, didn't train a lick for the fight, had spent the last 4 months in the boozer and who was literally wiring circuit boards when he got the call, and completely ran out of gas after 1 round.

Like I said, shot old inactive Loma would've stopped a full camp active and way bigger Padley in 3-4 rounds with ease so when we hear all this talk about ''generational skills'' remember that

The same as effective defence does I think a lot of people are putting too much on the shots Beterbiev landed on gloves

Beterbiev clearly threw more punches in that fight.
