    After watching 24 rounds of Bivol v Beterbiev of pure elite high class boxing I was wondering if the UK has ever produced a fight at this kind of level?

    Sure we have had great domestic dust ups and I love British title fights but have we ever witnessed anything as top class as the fight last night?

    Probably not.

    The highest level I witnessed live was Lomachenko v Campbell.

    That's a great shout... Campbell was almost at the top tier and gave Loma some problems

    I know. I think people went overboard with how good it was. It was good but not special.

    Hatton wasn't anywhere near the level of either fighter. He also gets alot of helps from referees.

    Love Brook but come on that's not Bivol v Beterbiev level. Porter was like a bull in a China shop

    In my opinion that was better. Much more entertaining and that's why I watch boxing. It was great to see Benn beat that horrible bloke.

    Loma is my favourite boxer of the last 10 years, however you cannot compare his fight against Luke Campbell to Benn v McClellan. It was Lukes best performance as a pro, but he never looked elite in the paid ranks and this version of Loma was not as good as when he beat Linares the year before. His right shoulder had gone etc.

    Just my opinion though, great thread mate :).
