Sorry, I should have been clear, the poster Billy Nelson on here pulled me up. I don't know anyone 'famous' and was not trying to imply I did...although I can see how that came over. Mea culpa, thoughtless posting!! Here is the 'exchange'... Me... .'I posted this earlier on another thread. I'll continue sticking my neck out.. The best AJ beats the best Bakole. I dunno if we will ever see that AJ again but he has the tank to box for 12 rounds. Bakole isn't quick enough and is alarmingly easy to hit, dare I say it, hes a little overrated based on little evidence. I'd not be surprised if AJ stopped him late...y'all heard it here first.' Billy Nelson.... 'Mate you know **** all about boxing if that’s your assessment Usyk’s manager says Martin is the future after Usyk but the guy who has the cheek to call himself the philosopher thinks he slow ect ect. Who’s opinion do you think folk will believe coco'
No, you make some valid points. I guess time will tell; it all depends on what this will have done to his confidence and punch resistance. Hopefully, it's not another Roy Jones situation. The more I think about it, the crazier it was to take that fight when he was so close to the title shot with the added proviso of a 12-week camp. I REALLY HOPE BILLY JUST ****S OFF NOW AND DOESN'T ROLL UP ON HERE AGAIN, **** THAT HE IS.
That is brilliant. Pretty rude of Billy, in my opinion. It's a forum for opinions and it's the paying public that puts money in his pocket. Without the fans professional sport ceases to exist.
Bakole could end up a gatekeeper imo. Taking that fight will take a shine from his mental fortitude and designs on been a world champ. We all know it's professional fighting and boxers want paying but to most on a campaign its the glory that matters . Martin made concessions last night when he didnt need to, that's a big hint.
These baastards are all on gear. Dubois and Parker. You think these two have just been improved by coaching? Not a chance. No wonder the pair of them are knocking people out now when before Paint Dry Parker used to bore everyone to a 12 round decision and Dubois used to be a human punchbag before the Uayk loss. AJ made a comment during his and Dubois's face off. He said. "I know why you're going Brazil". Why the fack is Dubois going to Brazil? And why is Parker working with that Dr that is thick as sht and gets everyone a failed drug test.
This content is protected This guy has just tore into Nelson with some potentially defamatory remarks but I am no solicitor! Interesting opinions and worth a listen.
The guy is simply giving his opinion and I would be astonished should a professional trainer take legal action based on justified criticism. A pile of money was paid to Team Bakole last night and the downside is that people knew the fight was a complete farce from the second it was made. On the fight thread I posted Journeyman Notice + Journeyman Preparation = Journeyman Performance. It was a complete shocker and Nelson's reputation will also take a big hit.
Cant believe bakole and billy are being blamed for it. Billys spent years trying to get him fights. Both trying to earn a living thats made all the hard work worthwhile. Years of training. Years of fighting without making good money. Opponents pulling out. Fights not coming to fruition. Being blackballed by the moneymakers etc. Its probably an expensive life trying to fund a heavyweight people probably see as risky without selling tickets etc. To the point they started a go fund me page to help fund his training. They,ve been close to making big fights again and again only for it not to come off. Theres no guarantees in boxing especially at heavyweight. The best guarantee is favour off the saudi. I think he is good....just not quite good enough for the very top level. Lets find out tho with a fair crack at it.
Many people bought the PPV based on the greatest card of all time including the only current British World Heavyweight Champion defending his belt against Joseph Parker. While your post is good and I can relate to that, what people got from the injury time sub was a total farce and people are entitled to voice their criticism.
If your blaming anyone its surely dubois. Was he ill or injured? Or pulled out to secure a usyk fight. Dubois refused the fight through illness. Whereas bakole accepted it without a camp. Overweight. No sparring. No prep for parker. Flew in at 2am the day before. Surely no real blame can go on bakole for jumping in at short notice. It was either no fight or bakole jumps in with the chips against him massively. Surely putting that fight on is better than no fight at all.
Absolute ****ing bollocks. Lawrence Okolie wanted it an was ready to jump in, stating the deal had basically been done, and then Parker changed his mind and wanted Bakole who was in the Congo. Do a bit of reserch before talking shite, mate! God knows who else would've taken the fight, also.
No fight at all would have been better - it was so bad that Bakole made Journeyman Tony Booth look good when he fought Heavyweights. They took the cash, they now face the reputation bash.
