Why are Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev ducking each other?

It’s Bivol who wants a rematch at 168. Canelo wants it at 175. They want things they don’t have.

That would assume Bivol holds all the LWH belts at the time it happens. He's going to need to get through Beterbiev or Smith Jr (but realistically Beterbiev) to become undisputed.

Bivol has been back and forth a bit on the subject of his willingness to drop to 168 lbs to fight Canelo. In the aftermath of his win against Canelo - he was suggesting that he didn't want a rematch at 168 lbs. In 2019 he seemd onboard with the idea.

There’s video of Bivol talking about wanting the rematch at 168 immediately after the Canelo win. That’s the only time I’ve heard him say it.

There's a ******* article on May 13 indicating Bivol was having second thoughts.

Me? I don't think a Bivol rematch happens at all.

I think he fights GGG. Assuming he wins, he may or may not fight Benavidez. And I'm pretty sure he signs off with some sort of Jake Paul circus act.

Are these two dudes finally going to fight now that they both tapped Joe Smith's ass or are they going to continue to be clowns?

4 years later and with all hope seemingly lost about these two ever facing each other the fans can finally rest easy knowing that they are finally about to fight this Saturday. Just hoping the fight itself was worth the wait.

Do you now have newfound respect to both of them now that they have fought twice and given fans a great fight?

It's hard for me to respect Bivol since he aged out Beterbiev. We know this fight should have happened years ago. 7, 5, even 3 years ago Beterbiev wins easy.

It’s hard for you to respect Bivol because he whooped on Canelo.

If Turki never fronted the money these fights never would have happened.

All the promotional companies would have been played silly idiots with each other.

I wouldn't say aged him out , they were always on a trajectory but Covid, Politics & injury got in the way of it happening sooner.. it was good that it happened when it did because it was for all the marbles after both had earned their stripes. You only don't respect him because he beat Canelo & Zurdo & hurt your feelings.
