Hamzah Sheeraz is a hype job. Why was he being hyped as something he clearly isn't?

Or maybe Adames is good and experienced? I mentioned that before the fight and idiots like @Scotty Cork tried to discredit him. Probably expected hamzah to run through him.

Apparently he broke his hand early on in the fight, he's young.

I was one of the ones hyping him up, very fair to say he dissapointed on Saturday. He will develop.

Yes, he was over hyped. Anyone with a keen eye could see through it. Boils himself down to 160 and just doesn't have what it takes to be elite at the moment. There was nothing I saw of him (and his style) that showed me that he was either technically gifted or a power puncher. Footwork, no. Punch selection, no. Movement, no. Power, not really (avg at best). Heart & tenacity, no - Saturday showed he doesn't. Defense, okish. Volume/output, no. Ring IQ, AVG at best.. Tbh, I don't hate him or anything, he's a prospect and he just needs better management - i.e., more time in the ring at more rungs of the skill ladder. Hopefully he can do that with more active mgmt and better coaching and become a good fighter. Best of luck.

I personally feel there aren't enough promoters/managers - having just 2 main promoters this side of the pond means that prospects don't get the time they need to build their skills - no matter the sparring. I love when fighters get thrown in the deep end but it doesn't always work.

Sheeraz = upright, stiff, very basic, no adjustments, no ring IQ, no heart, no urgency, poor stamina, hitting fresh air all night.

Power looked non existent at world level. And probably no chin, they way he was so terrified to engage with zero urgency and fight fire with fire indicates Adames must have hurt him.

And about the hand excuse. There was zero talk in the corner that his hand was hurt, not once did the corner say whats wrong or anything like that. That's the classic go to excuse when a fighter gets embarrassed:lol:

This was a real exposing of a hypejob fraud. It was a schooling.

I'm waiting for the corrupt little fat man Turki to come out and publically denounce the shockingly bad scorecards..:D

And a journalist to have the balls to ask him how he knew the scorecards for his pet favourite and 'ambassador'.

I genuinely can't understand how you score that fight a draw. It 100% a robbery. There was nothing coming from Sheeraz - a nice uppercut is all I remember (which was nicely placed and had some power behind it).

Went 12 rounds, that takes stamina
Fought with a broken hard, that shows a bit of heart

Yeah he should have lost definitely but your posts are well over the top

I think that's a good point - lots of people seem to have forgotten that Adames is a quality operator.

Duke Mckenzie ‘’ Adames won the fight by at least 8 rounds, decisions like that give boxing a bad name. It’s one of the worst decisions I’ve seen in world boxing. It was a terrible decision, I had Adames winning comfortably’’

Gareth Davies ‘’ I scored it wide for Adames by 6 rounds, 9 rounds to 3''

Barry Mcguigan ‘’ I had 118-112’’ ‘’ Bonkers, just crazy decision’’

Spencer Oliver ‘’ I had Carlos Adames a clear winner’’

Ade Oladipo ‘’I don’t know how the judges scored that a draw, the two judges need to look at themselves, Carlos Adames won that fight, the robbery puts a sour taste in your mouth, Hamzah Sheeraz knows he lost that fight’’

Sam Jones ‘’ Sheeraz knows he never won that fight, he was soundly outpointed, it was a ridiculous decision

Carl Froch ‘’ He came up short, Carlos Adames was too much for him’’

Adam Catterall ‘’ I had it 116-112, for someone to give 7 rounds to Hamzah Sheeraz, come on man.. It just didn’t happen’’

Eddie Hearn ‘’ I thought Adames won by 2 or 3 rounds’'

Simon Jordan ‘’ He’s very fortunate to have got a draw’

Frank Warren ‘’we were lucky to get a draw’’ (in his most recent interview)

Josh Warrington ‘’ he had a real rub of the green, he’s really lucky to have got the draw there’’

Ricky Funez (Sheeraz’s own trainer in the final rounds to Sheeraz) ’’ You have to knock him out to win’’

Blue Collar Sports TV ‘’9 rounds to 3, clear Adames win’’

PunshDrunkBoxing ‘’ Carlos Adames won that hands down, it was all Carlos Adames’’

The YB Boxing '' Adames won 10 rounds to 2, I struggled to give Sheeraz 2 rounds, he won 3 rounds at best. Biggest robbery I've witnessed in person''

Yep. Some embarrassing posts all round in this thread. Sheeraz looked great tonight and handled Berlanga in a far more emphatic manner than Canelo did.

He definitely looked great tonight. That doesn't change the fact that he sucked against Adames and should've lost.

I know he lost against Adames. The point I was making was that the OTT writing off of the fighter as a “hype job” was a complete embarrassment. Happens so often here.
