Shane Mosley might be my favorite fighter of all time - but the little guys are definitely the greater fighters on this list.

I give it to Marquez, but it’s splitting hairs between him, Morales, and Barrera.

Beat Trinidad and Mosley in the rematch despite not receiving the decision.

I think Morales beats Marquez prime for prime without difficulty. I'm thinking 117-111. He could basically sit on the outside and out box him at will.

No he did not he lost to Trinidad betraying his Mexican heritage by running for his dear life against the great Puerto Rican. I know his Uncles back in Mexico were disappointed by their Gringo nephew. He was already on dodgy ground with them for beating up an old past his best Julio Cesar Chavez but to make matters worse they found those pictures of him wearing high heels, stilettos, thongs, lipstick, suspenders like a Puta. No mas they rightly disowned him.

Marquez was a very good counterpuncher though so you can write him off winning.

    Hoya.

Especially considering realistically he beat Tito and Mosley in the rematch.

    Tough decision
    As they are all great
I’d have to go either de la Hoya or Marquez
But then some of the other guys have victories over them so like I said tough call.

What I will say about Oscar is.He was a champion in six weight division and he was a big puncher in 5 of those divisions. His power was often underrated and he had a great jab, good chin and an unbelievable left hook.

    I can agree with that
But the reach advantage for morales …
Although I do suppose once Marquez landed a nasty counter - that would be thrown out the window & all hell would break loose to an instant WAR classic.

    this is a fantastic thread!
