He doesn't really need to, Kabayel is barely relevant and unless it's mandated he has little reason to make it...

Usyk doesn't have much time left, he'll be looking at legacy and money.

On legacy, Kabayel might go on to be a champ, or he might go into hiding and remain historically irrelevant if he lost to Usyk...

When there's much more proven fighters out there who are already clearly relevant and on a reliable trajectory (Parker, for instance, as an ex champ on a much stronger run who's already proved he'll come back from setbacks), and who have much better name recognition to improve the purse?
I think it's obvious what any sane manager would look to make.

I abhor the fact that Dubois is champion. Usyk would stop/make him quit again. Better fight is Usyk-Parker but undisputed calls again. Can't wait to see the back of Dubois as champion though, no offence to the man.

Dubois makes the most sense, Parker is the most deserving, but I would rather see him against Kabayel.

Just to keep it simple the Dubois vs Parker fight should still go ahead. Then Parker still gets his deserved title shot. And now there is some backstory to this fight which makes it more interesting.

And therefore Usyk should fight Kabayel. Kabayel is mandatory for the WBC and he has done enough to get a title shot. He is clearly the #1 or #2 fighter without a belt right now. No need for Usyk to wait how Dubois vs Parker plays out. He can fight the winner after he fights Kabayel.

Usyk does have a great chin, defence, footwork and personality though. You can disagree with Big Bang's picks but Usyk is at least in the conversation and when it comes to being a complete fighter, combined attributes and intangibles and being strong in all departments, or at least not weak in any, Usyk is exceptional

    Skills
    Athleticism
    Speed
    Power
    Defence
    Footwork
    Chin
    Heart
    Stamina
    Strength
    Ring IQ
    Versatility
    Adaptability

He's either excellent, very good or good in every department and there are so many greats the same cannot be said about.

For sure but some have glaring weaknesses, or more than one, or couldn't deal with certain styles

Usyk has never been knocked down by a head shot or even badly hurt by one despite the fact he's fought a ton of massive punchers or legit bangers and obviously a whole bunch of them being way bigger than him. People claim he was hurt by Belly in their first fight but if that's the best they can muster it only validates my point because he wasn't hurt hurt or on wobbly legs or in any danger of going down. He merely backed off due to the physical pain it caused him

This is extremely rare for any fighter.

I suspect you're on for a miserable time - he could easily dominate the division for the quite a few years once Usyk is gone...

He's not even prime yet, really, at 27... Nobody anywhere near his age gets close at the moment.

For beating one ancient fringe contender, a couple of prospects and (many years ago) a gatekeeper?

I think he's got potential at championship level, but to say he deserves it? I just don't think he does, yet.... Good momentum, yes, but his resume is mega thin.

That's not to say it's not an interesting fight, and many guys get title bouts before they really deserve it.

Zero losses and he just stopped the guy that Parker went the distance with. I think he is as deserving as anyone for a title shot.

Lol Usyh on has 7 fights at heavyweight. You act like this has 40-50 heavyweight.

At heavyweight Usyk doesn't have good power. Him hurting a broken down Fury mean something? Light punching Steve Cunningham was able to drop a prime Fury with one punch. Nevin Pajkic was able to drop Fury with one punch. Yet Usyk battered a done version of Fury around the ring and couldn;t get a legit knock down.

Usyk has a good stamina? Usyk doesn't throw many punches. it is like saying Parker has good stamina. Parker rarely throws punches. In 12 rounds against Zhang Parker landed 90 punches. Kabayel landed 160 punches in 6 rounds against Zhang. It is easy not to get tired if you don't throw many punches.

Also Usyk has good defense? Wait so if Mayweather Jr doesn't stand toe to toe he is a runner. Usyk runs and he is a good defensive fighter? You want more funny? Joshua isn't busy, Dubois isn't busy, and Fury isn't busy most of the time. When Fury does try to throw punches he is horrible in accurate. Against Francesco Pianeta, Fury threw 600 plus punches and only landed 100. To put this perspective Lennox Lewis landed 300 punches against the much better David Tua. Heck a old 46 year old Formean landed 249 punches against a 26 year old Axel Schulz. You know what is even more funny? Even though Fury only landed 17 percent of his punches against Pianeta he landed 35 plus percent against Usyk.

Usyk has done nothing at heavyweight where you can look bad nad say man this guy is good. Again beat old Witherspoon, barely beating a faded Chisora, beating slow, robotic, Joshua atter Andy Ruiz beat him first. It is funny how the same biased people who say Usyk is a ATG don't say Ruiz is a ATG. Then beating Dubois after the beating he got from Joyce and then beating a broken down Fury isn't grounds to be considerd a ATG.
