Maybe he's too old to do it now but I wish he would drop 20 pounds and come in around 270 like he did against Hrgovic... His engine was so much better back then compared to now... But maybe it's just age and he'd be slowing down faster regardless of weight.

Anyways, as much as it pains me to say he's probably done at the top level. I just don't see him climbing his way back up and with age running against him he will only slow faster... I'm praying he can get a few more big fights against the likes of Bakole or AJ, win, and retire on a high note.

With his stamina issues seeming to only be getting worse I work for his health against top opposition.
Cash out against a paper tiger in China is my preferred road for him now. Like the guy and don't want him shipping damage he doesn't have to take

Honestly wonder what could have been if he'd learnt some dirty boxing earlier in his career, make guys carry his weight in clinches for a few rounds before he opened up on them. Yeah it's be boring but Wlad showed how effective it is and in Zhangs care could have made the difference against smaller guys like Parker.

Wardley and Itauma both may die if they get in the ring with even this version of Zhang, neither one of them is anywhere near the level of a Parker or Kabayel. They certainly don't possess the know-how, balls or grit to bring intelligent pressure and attack the body persistently the way Agit did, and they're not skilled enough at threading the needle to play the game that Parker did.

Lose some goddamn weight, and work on his cardio. He's still a tough out for most of the people in the top 10, sans Usyk and Agit. He's more than capable of knocking out Joshua, Dubois, Bakole, Fury, and even Parker in a rematch. People need to cool it with the reactionary bull**** hysterics every time a Heavyweight loses.

Bakole vs Zhang would make a lot of sense for Beterbiev vs Bivol 3

he's defo getting to the end of his career now but theres some good fights there still. Bakole is probably the biggest one for him right now. Maybe Chisora. he should start seriously consider retirement even if he does take a couple more fights tho. He's shown he isn't world title level.

This. I’m disappointed Zhang didn’t come into fight at 270ish. He’s not getting any younger but he can knockdown anyone he fights with his savage power he just needs to be able to finish.

Yes that's the fight I'm hoping for. Very winnable fight for Zhang and a name that still carries weight.

I thought he took a beating from Kabayel in a very short span.. and he's not exactly a model of fitness.

Well to be fair when a guy who turns 42 pretty soon takes a beating and is stopped it does raise a big red flag

Not to the guy that laid out the blueprint to beat Zhang on here, that Kabayel followed to the letter. Not saying that anybody read my post and copied it, because it was pretty elementary stuff that any decent trainer would have picked up on and implemented as well. Unfortunately all the people who ignore Zhang's shortcomings tend to blind themselves to it. The loss had nothing to do Zhang being almost 42 and everything to do with Kabayel being a bad mother****er. Jerry Forrest did the exact same thing a few years ago and almost had the same result, which Zhang then claimed was due to dehydration. No that was an obvious lie, the beatdown caused the dehydration.

    I'd love to see Chisora-Zhang.

There's a dozen other matchups that would be interesting: Ortiz, Ruiz, Bakole, Joshua, etc.
