Seems everything to me points to Bivol by UD , Maybe Benevidez can pressure Bivol enough to get him to exchange but I don't think it's the way to bet.
Benavidez is the interim WBC champion and it is his right to face the WBC world champion but I think Bivol would prefer to face Beterbiev for the third time, because it is a match in which he would earn more money than the one with Benavidez, WBC belt at stake or not. In any case if it were really Benavidez - Bivol I think that the Russian fighter dominate the match from start to finish.
In my opinion Bivol should take the Benavidez fight. If he wins that one fight Opetaia . He has a change to really expand his profile now. If he has Canelo, Beterbiev, and Benavidez as scalps and Undisputed on his name his profile will be huge going into the a Opetaia fight. He might make the same or more money.
Expect the trilogy fight to happen next. Benavidez is a very strong contender to Bivol and a great name for his record but I think Bivol has too much skill and nous for Benavidez. Bivol points 9 to 3 rounds.
Hard to see it for Benavidez right now, especially how Benavidez looked against a shot Nail, and how Bivol upped his game in the Beterbiev rematch.
Anything is always possible but I have a hard time seeing this scenario, for several reasons. Usually boxers want matches where they can earn more, so I have a hard time seeing Bivol preferring to face Benavidez over Beterbiev. Regarding the Bivol - Opetaia fight, it must be said that there is a 25 pound difference between the 2 boxers (Bivol in the last matches weighed 174 pounds, Opetaia 199). Also because the limit for cruiserweights is 200 pounds, while that for light heavyweights is 175, I don't know how convenient it would be for Bivol to face Opetaia..... Then everything is possible, let's see what the future holds.
