I genuinely think this is a 50/50 fight, and might be dependent on when they fought. If both fighters fought before they had been stopped it could have been one of those entertaining bombs away, both fighters shaken before one is stopped. But, post stoppage Lewis and Wlad were actually immeasurably better boxers, if not as exciting to watch. I think Lewis has more natural 'fluidity' but Wlad has better technique and discipline. I think cagey Wlad can stick to a game plan for every second of a round whereas Lewis, a very disciplined fighter himself, generously allowed himself a few moments of devilry in each fight, almost a regression to his younger days before he hit a hard restart...and it is for that reason I'm gonna pick the big, fit, super disciplined Wlad to knock Lennox out. I think Wlad has the tools and the mindset to 'stay safe' over twelve with Lewis, but I think Lennox had that little bit of mental laziness that would be his undoing in a fight against such a prodigiously powerful puncher as Wlad...
He is underestimated compared to Lennox even in who was a greater heavyweight discussion as well in my opinion.
One thing people forget is that Prime Wlad has much more experience fighting different styles. Lewis pretty much only fought slow footed come forward boxers. Prime Wlad fought everyone inside boxers, slick boxers, hard hitting punchers, tricky southpaws, fast explosive boxers, tall rangy boxers etc and beat them all knocking most of them. While both had their vulnerabilities, Wlad’s experience against different styles suggests he’d be better prepared for someone like Lewis who might struggle to adapt against Wlad’s style of keeping him at range especially when he feels Wlad's power
Lewis and I don't think it't that tough a night. Wladdy never beat a rugged fighter like Lennox matured into being,
Lewis all day Wlad would be hesitant to engage and Lewis can slug it out just look what he did to his tougher older brother
Eh Wlad hits harder than Vitalì imo, Idk if Lewis is gonna slug and both gonna box cautiously imo I got Lewis but it wouldn't be so one-sided
The Lewis uppercut would be Kryptonite to Wlads jab and grab which he would be seriously discouraged from doing early doors, at which point Wlad is forced into a mid to long range fight where Lewis' better punch variety, combination punching and more willingness to get into the pocket would ultimately get Wlad out of there in the last 3rd of the fight. Reckon it would be pretty competitive though, with Wlad certainly having his moments.
No one would be walking through fire here. Both had serious power and trying to walk through punches would be suicidal
Wlad had incredible power in either hand at any stage of the fight. Wlad was never kod. Only tkod . Lewis was kod twice . . It's an interesting fight but I lean towards Wladimir
Wlad takes this although I know that won’t sit well with many as Lewis is the more popular fighter on this board. Style wise Wlad threw straighter punches with better hand speed and he also judged distance better. He lands first and wins. Lewis was stopped twice by right hands while Wlad was more susceptible to hooks and fighters that could force him to burn out which isn’t Lewis’s game. Prime Wlad ruled for a decade. Lewis was never able to put together a run like that.
