No ducking is avoiding someone to fight someone easier.

    Ducking is avoiding an opponent.

Had he beaten Parker he would have been next for Usyk anyway, so it's not a case of choosing one or the other.

Wait... DD doesnt still have to fight Parker?

He pulls out of the fight and now its just on to the next? Without Parker getting his shot? Wth? How does that make any sense vs rescheduling the fight.

    Thats bs.

I'm willing to believe the sickness was legit. It sucks it happened so close to the fight but it wouldn't be the first time it's happened.

But the fact that they just wanna rush Dubois into the bigger money fight with Usyk and aren't even considering making the fight with Parker again, especially now that an IBF mandatory prolly won't be a problem for awhile, prolly says a lot about the confidence they had in him winning the fight.

Shame, would've been a good one I think. I would've hoped for a Parker win to avoid yet another rematch on Usyk's resume, but would've been expecting Dubois to prevail. Guess I had more faith in their guy than they did

Got to give Dubois benefit of the doubt however should the fight with Parker not be rescheduled then people are certainly going to say it was a Duck !

No because if the virus affected his ability to win the fight it is a case of choosing one or the other.

But no one ducks Parker to face Usyk lmao

Evidently Dubios did duck Parker as he's showing no intention of honoring the fight.

You're telling me they couldn't reschedule for one months time? They're both still fresh and out of camp.

Just waiting until the Usyk fight doesn't happen until end of year now...

Like i said, if he fights Usyk instead of Parker that's not a duck.

Fighting Parker instead of Usyk would be a duck.

Or Dubois can fight Parker. Usyk fights Kabayel. And the winners fight each other.

My actual ideal is the opposite. Usyk fights Parker and Dubois fights Kabayel.

But what I saying is if Dubois is offered the Usyk fight next, which wouldn't surprise me because he has a belt and has the low blow, Dubois should pursue that fight.

If Dubois fights anyone apart from Usyk or Parker then yes it's a duck. But pulling out of a fight due to illness and then fighting a superior opponent, that wouldn't be a duck.

Not fighting your scheduled opponent is a duck Frank. No matter how you try and slice it.

Nah Frank, that's nonsense. Ducking a challenge is a duck, like Floyd Patterson fighting Tom McNeely instead of Sonny Liston.

The fight everyone should be aiming for is Usyk.

If Dubois and Parker sign a rematch, then Parker withdraws to fight Usyk instead, that isn't a duck neither.

Listen Frank, as a challenger your job is to get into the best position to challenge for the title. Usyk has that title.

@lufcrazy Well it all depends if Dubois is really sick or if he is avoiding the fight. There isn’t much of an explanation from his camp.

Without evidence I'll assume he was actually sick and it wasn't a duck. Not to say he was or wasn't, just that sans proof I don't think there's a lot of value in throwing accusations and theories around.

Hard to call fighting Usyk instead of Parker now a duck too. Usyk is undoubtedly better than Parker in my mind so that doesn't fit either.

I am sure that given the choice to fight for undisputed, or take an extremely risky defense against Parker the smart move is unification.

As a huge Parker fan this situation is bull**** and I hate it. The Usyk fight should wait until Parker and DDD finish their business imo. Or Dubious should wait on the sidelines for the winner of Parker - Usyk. But those are just what I want, not what'll happen.
