Murtazaliev can't seem to find an opponent after his demolition of Tim Tszyu, but Ortiz may be up for it. He is calling out Ortiz. Both guys have 23 victories... which is why it's 23 vs 23. This could end up being one of the best fights of 2025. This content is protected
That's going to be an epic FOTY candidate for sure. Murtazaliev could most likely be even more dangerous than Bohachuk. Let's see it happen this year.
This is one of those fights that could end up being an epic war or an absolute curbstomping. Here's hoping they can get it done so we can find out
Ortiz doesn't have a lot of choices. Crawford has a date with Canelo. Fundora is with PBC and they're trying to keep everything in house. That leaves Murtazaliev being a path to the title. I think it's going to be a great fight if it happens. Murtazaliev has more unknowns and more danger for Ortiz.
That’s a crazy fight. I think that dude is better than Madrimov. Vergil could get stopped. Major props to Vergil if he takes this because there’s no way Crawford would dare. Who do you guys think wins?@CST80 @Serge @drenlou @African Cobra @bandeedo
They are pretty evenly matched. Similar in style and skill level. Ortiz is a little busier and has better defense, but Murtazaliev doubles up his jab nicely and has less predictable patterns to his punches. I give the slight edge to Ortiz based on being big fight experience and corner.
Not sure. Bak-M looked beastly vs Tszyu and whilst I'm not saying he's on his friend Kovalev's level or even close, there are some similarities between them stylistically and his power reminds me of Kovalev's too in that it's a sharp snappy type of power but also thudding. Vergil and Bohachuk obviously hit very hard too but their power is more deceptive, whereas, when Bak-M lands you can see and hear how heavy each shot it Vergil has that very tight defence which is difficult to penetrate but if Bak-M was able to time him with counters and that left hook and catch him clean instead of just aiming at the guard like Madrimov spent too much time doing it might end up being a FOTY contender and one which I suspect would end with one of them getting knocked out.
Murtazaliev has slow hands and feet. Not that Ortiz is super fast, but I was alarmed at how slow Murtazaliev looks.
Great fight and respect to Ortiz if he takes it next as Murtazaliev is an interior decorator he took out my man Tim Tszyu single handed.
