Headlining at Hordern Pavilion in Sydney on March twelfth - wee hours of the morning for us Yanks. 10 rounds at super welterweight.

Each has lost...one time. :sisi1 Thurman's was a SD12 in 2019 dropped to a much bigger name in Manny Pacquiao - albeit well past the Pinoy sensation's best. Jarvis' blemish was to a far lesser & more obscure but also more prime fighter in Liam Paro.

This will be the first ring action in over three years for the American - more or less consistently a career welterweight. Jarvis, on the other hand, began at super fly and was campaigning no further north than feather as recently as five bouts ago - but over the last half a decade has steadily risen up and most recently actually fought at middleweight in December.

Last month Jarvis parted acrimoniously with trainer Jeff Fenech - a former three division champion and consensus top 5 all-time p4p Aussie pugilist - severing a partnership of nine years. Thurman, meanwhile, remains loyally under the charge of Dan Birmingham, his coach of 15 years and his second ever (only switching because of the untimely death of Ben Getty, his original coach).

Interesting case where a boxer is facing the person who (indirectly) created their ring moniker. Thurman criticized Jarvis for lingering too long in the pocket, which prompted Jarvis to snipe back "alright then, call me The Wallet".

Thurman would have to be an utterly decrepit, injury-riddled, hollowed out shell of the fighter he was even against Barrios to lose to Brock Jarvis.

I’ll go with Thurman to win but honestly at this stage anything can happen. How many times has he fought in the past 5 years ? Once maybe ?

    Yes.

Exactly "one-time" since his loss to Pacquiao.

Jarvis has no chance IMO I expect Thurman to get him out of there in less than 3 rounds. I will be in attendance as the undercard is quite good by domestic standards with Mateo Tapia v Sergei Vorobev and Michael Zerafa v Besir Ay I am also looking forward to seeing Thurman live in person. The Hordern Pavilion is only 20mins from my place it's a good venue with lots of bars and restaurants nearby.

Thurman was pretty funny and fit in well with the lads on the Matty Johns show on Sunday night after the game.

I have never seen Brock Jarvis fight.
So I am picking Thurman by stoppage.

Thurman is old and active but Jarvis has an abysmal chin. If Thurman has anything left I wouldn't be shocked if his pillow fists shatter Jarvis' glass jaw.

It's a shame how Keithy's career has panned out in recent years I think he was the best at 147 for many years and I firmly believe he would've knocked out Spence if they fought.

The only thing that's going to defeat Thurman in this fight will be his receding hairline.
