I think Benevidez is getting underrated here. He's a former champion (stripped and avoided) and he defeated many former champions. He just beat Morrell, who is a very good fighter in his prime.
Ive no problem whatsoever with Teraji, like I said I included him. Obviously these things are subjective aren't they and I've no issue with his inclusion. I think any of those I listed can be 9th or 10th.
Hey Leeds I know this all pound for pound thing is all subjective. But for me Janibek has no claim to be in the top ten. Hes a helluva a fighter but His resume is very very thin. Teraji for example has as many title fights as Janibek has fights.
It's hilarious that you would say that Bivol, Canelo, and Beterbiev are all unquestionable top 5 when each of them have a loss within the last 3 years. Yet Crawford who has become a 2x Undisputed and 4 division champ in that same time, while also being undefeated, with just one of his opponents in the last 12 have finished the fight standing on their own 2 feet.......but Crawford being there is a joke? Y'all hate Crawford so much, it's hilarious.....lol. Madrimov's biggest accomplishment is answering the last bell vs Crawford. He did nothing to suggest he was better that entire night. Unanimous. Only dude in the sport that's getting more love for feints than his opponent countering with 3 punch combos.
Shut up. Something got into Ali’s eye against Liston as well. Tank won the fight and Roach is a well schooled boxer. Just because those of you lacking in boxing education did not know it. I warned you all before that this was a tough fight. Of course if Tank knocked him you would all say Roach was a nobody.
Well thats because Canelo was p4p #1 when he lost. They dropped him 3 places after that. Tank was ranked 8th.
To be fair to Canelo - his resume punched his card to P4P top 10, so losing to a bigger elite talent (which was a risk that backfired) didn’t harm him as much. Tank may pass the eye test but he doesn’t have the resume. P4P list, as a pure fantasy league, should only really be open to those with a worthy resume. Not just passing the eye test.
They have Haney of all the people at 9. Tank has 31 fights no defeats and knocked out 21 mother****as and is one of the longest reigning world champions who defeated many world champions and undefeated fighters when he fought them.
Im just addressing your previous post. You brought up Canelo and implying there were two different standards used for Tank and Canelo. Whether Tank deserves to be top 10 p4p in all of boxing after a draw that most felt he lost is debatable I guess. I def think he should still be above Haney.
I don't think Janibek deserves to be in there. Sure he's unified and when it comes to talent and skills he's one of the best out there. But MW is a graveyard division at the moment and he hasn't really beaten anyone of any note yet. I'm a big fan of but he will have to earn his place first I would agree with their top 8 and Loma should really be the top 10 too. I mean aside from him only deserving to have 1 loss, the fact he's routinely fighting much or way bigger opponents who hold huge physical advantages over him that no one else in the P4P top 10 is sans Usyk and sometimes Clenelo, in a weight class he doesn't belong in, whilst fighting in his opponents backyards or on the road all the time, and has not only fought lots of punchers or KO artists not just his size but much or way bigger, and then factor in his otherworldly skillset and resume, how can you not have him in there, until he officially announces his retirement that is? Not sure who I would have in the final spot. I don't really follow the baby leprechaun divisions. I would've had Ioka in there but he lost recently. I think Opetaia is one of the best and most skilled fighters in the game. Benavidez is probably getting close now. Maybe top 15 Shakur hovering around that 10-13 spot maybe. Teofimo albeit he should have 3 legit losses. Super Boots is one of the most talented and skilled fighters in the game for me but he just doesn't have the resume even for consideration for a top 10 ranking yet. Twink probably top 15 but the unofficial loss to Lamonty Roach has set him back There's a whole bunch in that 10-15 spot you can make a case for
