Tank vs Roach PPV sales over 500K proves Tank is the face of boxing

I know from the UFC that there once was a strong correlation between social media engagement and PPV buys. The more accurate predictor of course turned out to be the early prelim viewership numbers.

There have been reports that the recent Saudi PPV´s have been total flops, but I doubt it. I think they are at least somewhat successful, because otherwise there would be no point in putting them on PPV anyways.

 

Nope, this forum has hella dedicated haters I have no reason to believe have a pair of nickels to rub.

More popular fights get talked about more.

 

Lamont Roach is less of a name than Frank Martin.

It’s extremely doubtful that the Roach fight outsold the Martin fight at all, let alone significantly.

Lmao at Stank selling out arenas.. Connor Benn vs Eubank Jr already sold 60.000 tickets.. That's mora than Stank sold in his last three or four fights.. He's not the face of boxing he's the meme of boxing.

 

Yep the Tank fans going on about ticket sales is laughable. In Australia Tim Tszyu sells out any arena and much bigger ones than Tank has fought at. Kambosos also sold out Marvel Stadium. Anthony Mundine sold out arenas, hell Paul Gallen sold out arenas it doesn't mean that they are the face of boxing LOL.

 

Indeed mate. Inoue also filled the Tokyo Dome. And in Europe but specially in the UK there's numerous fighters who can fill stadiums. Hell Nathan Heaney who is a decent fighter at best would probably fill the Stoke Stadium in England. Stank fans are casual fans.

 

Stop listening to utubers for ppv numbers or rick glaser. Dan Rafael is the more reliable source, he has no agendas and just reports from his sources, and his numbers have generally been accurate. No way it did 500k

 

i figure statistically they are on par with any other group as big as the esb forum. the problem is that here, the haters are the most prolific and loudest posters. they clique up and hate in numbers. i have my favorites, and i have the ones i dislike, but i try and give all of them a fair shake. although, sometimes i also spit some venom.

 

In my decades on this forums I have seen more fans of boxing than fanboys and hatter. Problem is the fan boys and hatters spam the forum with stupid ass threads, making it appear like there are more fanatics. Reality is there are more fans of boxing on here than hatter/fanboys.
