Favorite would be GGG - but I will NEVER go against SRL.

    SRL decision.

SRL by close decision. GGG would have his moments but SRL was the better boxer and would win this using his speed and footwork.

Prime Golovkin just like prime Hagler of Sibson would both destroy the SRL of 87 fight .

Judges would end up giving Leonard anything resembling a close round, so see him winning a controversial decision. Follow the money type result & the money was with Sugar Ray.

    Lmao!

Yes, the vaunted prime Golovkin, who destroyed such legends as Lemieux, Stevens, Rosado, and Macklin.

The prime Golovkin who went life and death with Danny Jacobs, and who had a tough go of it before eventually breaking down the much smaller Brook...

Honestly, this trolling has gotta stop.

Triple Protected couldn't shine Marvin's shoes.

Hagler would have wiped his ass with Golovkin. So would Monzon. So would Jones. So would Robinson. So would Hopkins. So would Tiger. So would Nunn. And quite a few other middleweight greats.

To answer the question, Leonard by decision.

Golovkin was a myth. He never showed me anything that leads me to believe he could overcome Ray's handspeed, movement, and overall will to win.

It's not Gennadiy's fault you can't recognise a sophisticated pugilist when you see one... Maybe the fact GGG has a higher ring IQ than Marvin, maybe because he was a better fighter on the front-foot, and maybe because Leonard was a half-retired welter with a messed up eye who wouldn't be able to get Golovkin's respect, perhaps Golovkin would win against '87 Leonard for all these reasons. You can call GGG a myth but it doesn't change the fact he's the far more proven fighter at middleweight.

Golovkin whacks him and breaks him down, Leonard has nothing to keep him off whatsoever, he can outbox him for a few rounds, but as Golovkin is constantly closing the ring off, going to the body and forcing Leonard to work more than he wants, it will inevitably take its toll on Leonard.

Or maybe you're just too ignorant to recognize one of the greatest ring cutters and offensive boxers in middleweight history.
