    Adonis Stevenson was 41!
Calling 168 Morrell whose only accolade at 175 is arguably losing to a guy that Beterbiev (and by extension Bivol) is clearly many many levels above and 37 year old Gvozdyk not even looking like he showed up to win at any point top 6 at light heavyweight is highly bogus and you know that. At least Dimitrii B-Ball has legit top 10 contenders under his belt. He's proven everything. I'm sorry I still need to see Benavidez put in that kind of work before I start thinking about if he can rule the division. I still don't even really know how well he can take light heavyweight power. Even from the Joe Smith Jr gatekeeper types. Thats how limited he still is at 175.

He will never impress you if you keep dismissing him defeating top LHWs who are former champions. Apparently Morrell and Govzdyk don't count but Craig Richards would. Cheers.

You don't seem to like facts. Gvozdyk and Morrell were Top 10 rings ranked LHW's. You can't keep repeating David never fought any top ranks LHW's. Its simply not true. They were also considered power punchers, and have BOTH put opponents in comas, yet you keep saying David has not proved himself vs power punchers.

    Benavidez has earned it

    Let them fight

    It's competitive

Winner fights Beterbiev - who has also earned the right to get his belts back..

Morrell low key got exposed by Hot Rod and he fought the ghost of Gvozdyk. Morrell has arguably never won at light heavyweight and Gvozdyk was coming out of semi retirement. I put serious career light heavyweight contenders that actually show up to win above that. Let Benavidez fight Callum Smith who deserves a shot at King Bivol way more than he does to actually get some legitimacy at 175 and we can see how he actually stacks up at light heavyweight for real. What you're doing is guessing.

If Bivol is as sharp as he was against Beterbiev he should be able to easily outpoint Benavidez. Just needs to make sure that he doesn't allow Benavadez to steal rounds through higher workrate just punching gloves.

Unless Benavidez brings the blind corrupt judges from the Tank Davis fight, it’s going to be a long night for him. Bivol gives him a boxing lesson that will make the Canelo beatdown look competitive by comparison. Easy money for Bivol, I don’t think he will lose a round. Benavidez has never faced anyone at Bivol’s level and will be thoroughly outboxed. He’s a couple levels below Bivol and will be lucky to win a round.

David is a good fighter and I’m sorry Canelo ducked him. If he faces Bivol, I give him credit for his courage. I like Benavidez over Canelo if they ever fight. At least the current version of Canelo.

Bivol is a great fighter, but he does not match up well against Benavidez. It would not be "easy work" for Bivol. Benavidez is a problem for anyone in the division and he is a much tougher test for Bivol than Beterbiev. Beterbiev hits harder than Benavidez but his work rate and ability to win rounds against Bivol is no comparison to Benavidez. Ya'll are talking like Morrell is some bum, yeah Benavidez struggled with him, even got knocked down, but also had his way with him for the majority of the match. Morrell is way slicker and far more youthful than Artur. I would think Bivol would be able to beat Morrell though he would struggle with him as Benavidez did.

Bivol needed to fight his best fight to eek out a decision over Beterbiev in the rematch, after a very rough 1st fight that he lost, which of course many Bivol fans thought he won as well, but both were close fights and struggles for Bivol. If Bivol did not fight at his absolute best he may not have beaten Beterbiev, a 40 year old, mind you a tough customer, but still a 40 year old.

Benavidez on the other hand is 28 and much younger than Bivol. I could see Bivol outboxing him for a few rounds and using his movement, but once David starts closing the distance and applying the pressure, he could simply outwork Bivol and possibly hurt him.

Now, for the people picking Bivol, I get it, Bivol is highly skilled and at his best certainly has the tools to beat Benavidez, but he's never really faced a guy who has the gas tank of Benavidez over 12 rounds. Both Canelo and Beterbiev, his two biggest wins, were guys who either gassed hard in the mid rounds (Canelo) or essentially took rounds off due to a low work rate and conservation of energy (Beterbiev).

Benavidez doesn't tire, you may catch him with some good shots, but he keeps coming. He keps coming and Bivol could actually get beat down by a relentless workhorse puncher like Benavidez. And to be clear, unless Canelo finds a gas tank at Light Heavy, I would also favor Benavidez over Canelo at this stage, as many do. The difference is, Canelo actually has power that could potentially hurt Benavidez at some point in the fight, whereas Bivol doesn't have the power to hurt Benavidez or keep him off. I would expect a competitive and entertaining fight that Benavidez wins by decision, just by outlanding Bivol and out working him, putting Bivol on the backfoot and maybe forcing him to cover up on the ropes.

Maybe I'm wrong here, but I favor Benavidez. Could Bivol win? Of course he could, he's a great fighter I'm not counting Bivol out, but I would favor Benavidez here and I would love to see this fight, as I think it would be a great fight. If Bivol ends up schooling him, I'll be shocked, but if Bivol fights the fight of his life he could eek one out maybe. But it won't be as easy as many of ya'll are saying it is for Bivol.

Compubox means nothing. Benavidez is a good offensive fighter. He will be humbled by either Bivol or Beterbiev (even at this stage)

Bivol would clean up Morrell. He struggled with Hot Rock!

Because you say so? So when it ranked Bivol as the best defensive fighter it means nothing also?

Ok, so in your opinion legit ranked top 10 LHW's does not actually mean ranked in the top 10, it means some arbitrary mumbo jumbo you concocted. Morrell beat Hotrod, and Gvozdyk had 3 fights in 2023 before he fought Benavidez but they are apparently not legit top LHW's, Craig richards and callum smith are. If Gvozdyk is a ghost at 37 what is Bivol at 40?

Bivol coming for that number 1 p4p spot. He's active and beating top guys. Already schooled canelo and should imo be 2-0 vs Artur.

He's active and not just taking pointless rematches. Yes with another good victory he has to be number 1 for me.

If Bivol beats Benavidez and then becomes undisputed cruiserweight champ against Opetaia he's pfp #1
