I'm the only one who think Jesse "Bam" Rodriguez is overrated ??:argue:

The guy is just hyped because he is American but at least he beat only boxers at the end of their careers who make a lot of wars in the past.

Juan Francisco Estrada was not active during two years when he defeated him, Srisaket Sor Rungvisai was definetely passed his prime since 3 years when he meet Jesse Bam Rodriguez and make a lot of wars in the past, same for Carlos Cuadras and Pedro Guevara.

Sunny Edwards was also mentally broken when he meet Jesse "Bam" Rodriguez and was not the same like before.

I'm not sure Jesse "Bam" Rodriguez is better than Fernando Daniel Martinez and it's very not sure at all.

I laugh so hard when peoples compared him to Naoya Inoue or Junto Nakatani or even with the past great champions of Super Flyweight like Khaosai Galaxy / Gilberto Roman

Brutally so, currently the MOST overrated fighter in the sport. He's a weight bully and an old man and featherfist killler who'll be found out when he fights someone his own size who isn't a walking cadaver.

We can set Junto on him after he deals with Inoue.

I agree that he caught the previous era of superflie on their way out.

However, having said that he looks very good on film.Has a lot of ability imo.

Talent yes but everyone has talent against retired boxers or past boxers in front of them, look at Tony Yoka's fight against Duhaupas or Dimitrenko, we have the impression that he was going to become the king of heavyweights. The first comer can shine when he boxes boxers at the end of their career who have fought a dozen wars 5-6 years before.

If you @Macedoine62 can't see that he's very very good then you might need to start following another sport.

When he beats Fernando Martinez next what will be the excuse?

Not at all. The kid is crazy talented and very skilled. I'm honestly amazed how much hate Bam gets who doesn't come close with having an insufferable personality whatsoever.

It s not just talent though.
Sunny Edwards has a certain level of talent yet that doesnt translate into ability at least on the same level for example.
I dont agree with the Yoka example,Dimitrenko and Duhaupas are NOWHERE NEAR the level of a Cuadras,Sor Rungvisai or Estrada. In fact if you actually followed him nobody really thought Yoka would be the next great thing,he got gifted the gold medal and was known to have significant disadvantages.
A better example would be Ricky Hatton who made his name of beating older shopworn fights like Tszyu,Castillo,Lazcano or Tackie.
However that is still impressive as not everyone can do that nor in the manner Bam does.
He LOOKS(as in eye test)as the real deal. But I do agree he doesnt have prime great fighters near him.

For the moment he only beat boxers at the end of his career. He is top 10 p4p but it's a subject very debatable

His fight with Gonzalez, don't remember which one, where he got his jaw broken he looked far more ordinary. All the angles he had previously displayed against faded fighters was gone.

So yeah, I think he's a bit over hyped. Just a bit though, still think he's a fantastic fighter.

My take on Bam as well. Never understood why fans give so much credit for beating old lions. Does anybody really credit Terry Norris for beating SRL? Like you said, he’s huge compared to his opposition.

Since I have not seen him raved and hyped like some elite superstar, going to say no, he's not overrated. Some overzealous fans do not equate one being hyped to death.
