Anyone seeing this fight as even? The size difference is big and I can’t see Benn last to the end, am I wrong?

One of the less promoted boxers I liked to watch a few years ago was Sebastian Formella. I liked his style and also the fact that he was working full time in the hamburg port while being very(!) competitive with shawn porter (hearing Josh Padley's story reminded me of that).

Right after almost winning against Porter he got blasted around by drugs cheat Connor Benn. Benn had no strong background in boxing from amateur fights or skills or anything that would explain why he could fight on that level (with that strength that seems to have faded after the egg-controversy) but the name of his dad and the obvious advantages that brings and that later came out. That really hurts as a fan of the sport. Promoters do see a prospective cash cow when they hear the name 'Benn' and know there is a 'Eubank' around the next 4 weight-classes somewhere.

My take is this: I don't like Benn and all the mechanisms that made him popular and that lead to this fight. I don't care about Eubank. I don't think it is a good fight. I don't think it is international level.

If I had a wish I would not wish for Benn to be beaten badly or hurt. I think most boxers have had similar experiences in some sparring sessions anyway and being a fan of the sport I don't like that people hope for that crap. I just don't want to see these marketing schemes be successful. I would wish for this fight to go down the drain like the last time they tried to make this fight. No money for anyone for these pathetic moneygrabs. So we can concentrate on the things that are worthwhile in this sport.

That’s right, forgot about that but 160 still seem high for Benn, I just saw it’s a hydration clause at 170 but I still think it favors Eubank. Idk, maybe I’m wrong, they are both pretty funny to me, will be a fun fight as long as it lasts.

No, you`re not world class until you`ve won a world title and Chris was completely out-boxed by Groves.

That`s because the Clomifene will give Conor a lovely pair of jugs leading to the arousal of Mr Eubank after they lock horns.

The jab will be key for Eubank because of his height and reach, Benn has been dropped at 147 and Eubank has been stopped by Liam Smith who is a light middle.

Depends on how high to a standard you are going to hold him.
On his way to the WBSS he picked up some decent wins, and the Saunders loss was a close one.

In my book Eubank will always be an underachiever. Not saying that he is genuine world level boxer, but I think he could have won a few good fights if he stuck to the level.

I was clarifying in case you thought I was ranking him so highly.
