No, my logic being that no one below him has any argument to pass him while I can construct a reasonable argument to leapfrog him up my list.

Just like to remind you that Lamon Brewster was about the same size as Liston.

    Do try to follow:

George never said Lewis was better than Wlad. He said that pliable minds like you, who get influenced by highlights, boxrec and hearsay while barely watching fights, think of Wlad as another version of Lennox Lewis. You are the one who used highlights for Wlad saying that's who he really is, 7 minutes of him against mostly crap opposition.

That's who you said he is, instead of you know, the Wlad of an entire fight that George posted. So he used Lewis highlights to imply that's who you think Wlad is, and linked full Wlad fights to showcase who Wlad actually is.

It was delibarate, in order to prove how wrong you are. I hope you understand that now.

How does Liston beat Wlad ? Probably the same way Brewster and Sanders did.

Yep that's about right.Sonny peaked between 1959 and 1961 when he was clearly the best heavyweight
in the World.Unfortunately the unscupolous Cus D'Amato prevented Sonny from his rightful opportunity to fight
for the title during Liston's peak.

So, maybe Wlad beats Liston like Marty Marshall did and breaks his jaw too?

Of course there are levels to this sport.Which Wlad,to his detriment, would soon find out if he fought Liston.

Ah yes,the Marty Marshall fight. In which Liston, in only his eighth professional fight fought several
rounds with a broken jaw.Thank you for reminding us of this fight in which Liston showed tremendous heart.

Wlad showed heart in Sanders and Brewster fights too according to that logic.

Just to remind you that Liston got knocked out by Ali, who had trouble busting the skin off a grape. Brewster had a great chin.

He did though. Wlad was getting hammered at the end but he never quit.

I follow just fine the problem is your argument falls apart under scrutiny.

First, you’re putting words in my mouth. I never said Wlad was another version of Lennox Lewis; I compared their styles, which are similar in many ways. That’s a fact, not some 'pliable mind' narrative you’re trying to push.

Second, you’re acting like highlights are invalid when they clearly show key tendencies, yet George used the exact same approach with Lewis to make his point. That’s textbook hypocrisy.

Lastly, pretending Wlad’s full fights somehow erase the fact that he was a devastating puncher is laughable. His style may have evolved, but his power and offensive ability never disappeared. You’re bending over backward to discredit Wlad while pretending this isn’t just personal bias.

Just to remind you that Ali could punch when he wanted to.Another reminder for you.Cleveland Williams
punched harder than Brewster, yet Sonny absorbed his punches as though they were nothing.
