Billy Nelson training here. Heard him talking about it on an interview. A lot of money being poured into it. Tanning beds included! Seems like a wonderful gym ran by great people.
Probably. But since when has a place with tanning beds ever been known to be a front for anything dodgy
think he was referring to money laundering mate. When launderers want to launder, they spunk money on anything. On top of that tan cabs are actually known to be owned by money launderers and drug dealers in just about every city and town i've stayed in
if you follow Nelson over the last year or two you'd know he's been VERY complimentary of Fury, might explain a bit
Ha sarcasm doesn't always translate well onto text does it. Wonder if Spencer Braaaaaaahn will be cutting the ribbon for this place (unless it's already up and running?)
Am I missing something here or have I got my wires crossed? Just trying to piece it together. This content is protected This content is protected Danny Flexen of Seconds Out was one of the only boxing journalists to publicly comment on the Kinahan stuff years ago. This content is protected Timestamped for convenience. Flexen asks Nelson about the new gym and asks "how have you been able to get such a vast improvement" to which Nelson pauses and awkwardly responds something along the lines of "by spending money, Danny."
Probably licking arse, does seem hypocriticl. Funny video that with Nelson. He is a bit of a touchy guy. Have you seen his X page? Read in the comments that he's always slating people, fans and boxing people also
I'm very late to this - obviously. It was nothing more than, I wanted to get Billy talking about something that I hoped he might be enthusiastic about, which, you'll be shocked to hear, isn't always easy. You can tell because my next question is something like 'What's changed, what are the main benefits?' I haven't abandoned my morals (not those ones anyway, not yet), but I probably didn't think enough into the 'Goldstar' aspect of the gym's name. On a somewhat related note, and without going into too much detail publicly, I was annoyed last week by 2, let's call them 'MTK alumni', for subjecting my 20-year-old collegue to despicable bullying and intimidation - repeated calls, verbal threats and texts of a similar nature - all because he asked a boxer, one of their clients, a reasonable question - or maybe it was their answer - that they didn't like. They suspected I'd told him to ask it and if either had bothered to contact me, I would have confirmed that suspicion, because it's part of my job to ask/tell my team some of the topics to cover and it was not a bad question. But none of our senior team - from the owner, Chaiman, Ayman , to myself - have heard from them since the video was removed, nor did we ever receive a complaint directly from the boxer, who has always been, in my experience, an exceptionally kind and amenable person. If we had upset them in any way. I'd have removed the video personally and immediately and I think they know me well enough to accept the truth of that. Now that's done, I highly recommend you all return to the Nelson vid, check out my reaction to his linking up with Cyrus Pattinson and **** yourselves laughing at just what the **** noise that is coming out of me.
