I've met him and chatted to him online a few times. Great bloke and fought in an extremely tough era with many bigger guys

    Hard as nails

Pity Ryan Burnett got injured he would of been up there.

Steve Collins, Carl Frampton and Barry McGuigan are the best in my time.

Cacace is the current best imo but Joe Ward will surpass if Di Bella ever promotes him.

Lee was a personal fav of mine as it was his fight against Jason McKay which was the first live show I ever went to. Also special mention to Bernard Dunne who's fight with Cordoba was special.

In my time the correct answer is Collins I think

Say what you want about the level of Benn and eubanks when he fought them, but he beat both twice back to back and himself only lost to very good opponents earlier in his career against mccallum, reggie and kalamby

Collins wasn't the most technical, but he was well schooled and was very tough and determined

Head to head he gives most a hard fight. I think he would still do well if he was fighting today and would bear canelo for battle of the gingers

Collins vs froch would have been a great fight

Also Scott Harrison couldn't put a dent in him even though Wayne was a much smaller featherweight when they fought.

Yes of course, he took a battering too
Wayne didn't have the power to match his chin, but he had great durability

    I think he's underrated

Ok so how has Jack Dempsey not been named until this post?

This forum has disappointed me once again.

Underrated SMW. A Froch fight would be a classic.. all Collins losses (apart from ATG McCallum which was a very early career loss) were debatable fights.. he was actually the underdog in the Benn & Eubank fights too.
