This was the penultimate victory for the world-class Okie journeyman, who passed away earlier this month. His career lasted just shy of two decades, and he brought the hustle and effort in every appearance. His best official victories on paper are probably Brian Rose I, Said Ouali, and Michael Clark (along with notably popping hype job Tyrone Brunson's cherry at 27-0-1) - but he probably deserved the nod over then-unbeaten Kell Brook in his majority decision loss in their first encounter.

Bell, now 40, is himself a fun watch - a smite-or-be-smote fighter with eighteen of his 33 victories and seventeen of his 39 losses coming by KO. He is still active - very active, in fact, having already fought twice in 2025. Most recently he scored a third UD over Aaron Anderson on the Country Box 30 card in perhaps the most unnecessary trilogy since Bernard Hopkins vs. Robert Allen.
