Ok guys. What do you think, is Hrgovic stamina, lack of striking diversity caused by bad training with his previous trainers. Do you think that (if that's true) Abel Sanchez as his new head trainer will make a difference in future matches. Cheers..
We'll see. If Joyce fight goes long it will be a good test of Hrgovic's stamina because as we know Joyce has very good stamina and work rate, unlike Hrgovic.
I don´t think Abel is that good of a trainer, but he might be exactly what Hrgovic needs. Could be a very good pair up.
exactly. Abel is unlikely to teach him a lot of tricks. I think Abel will likely be able to help him get back to the things that work for him.
I guess we'll see. One loss doesn't have to be the end or even a few losses as Parker and Dubois showed. Hrgovic's problem was always that he never really developed beyond what he was in the amateurs. Even if he loses I don't think it's the end if he can make improvement over time. But if we've seen all he has to give then he'll never amount to anything.
Didn't Abel basically erode GGG's boxing to make him 'exciting'? Hopefully he doesn't start adopting 'Mexican Style' suited to welterweights, gassing and getting KO'd.
More than anything Hrgovic needs a trainer that will motivate him. When he goes through the gears he can be impressive but that is so rare. I think Sanchez will be good for him.
When he first turned over he was better than he is now in terms of fitness and desire. His motivation for the sport dropped off massively because the only professional boxers that would face him were stiffs. Then when he finally fought someone with a pulse he was in the depths of not living the life. Therefore a new trainer if he is at least able to get him to train properly and prepare properly will improve him. I think he was a future world champion at one point but activities outside of the ring got in the way.
Well if he has a new trainer for the Joyce fight its good one to test the waters and look for improvements. Joyce is shot to bits, so it should be a question of coming up with a plan to maximise working when Hrgovic wants, negating Joe getting on top and using his punch output to take over the fight and then landing the big punches to close the show.
