Would Ali have done a better or worse job against Fury than Usyk?

    Agreed
Decent power for sure and backed up many fighters. As you say from the speed alone and shots others couldn't see

Ali is like Holyfield, Holmes and usyk. Not really known for power, but all coukd punch and a lot comes down to their timing or speed

Ali was a headhunter & which version of Ali here because the young whipper snapper Ali is VERY different to the old Ali who utilized his toughness much more than his footspeed and quickness. old Ali won't win a clinch war with Fury...He will have as much trouble as anyone boxing him long and could he walk Fury down using the precise footwork & stamina Usyk has to execute a decision victory? not his style, very much Usyk's style.. I see him relying too heavily on his toughness which Usyk doesn't even though Usyk is tougher than he looks.

    Great fight. Great fighters.

This. I mean ali NEVER fought a heavyweight with Fury’s combination of size, fluidity and confidence to go along with his underrated strength.

I think ali would try to move around and stick & move but Fury’s range, movement, feints and height would give ali fits. Of course ali would have success in spots with the speed he had. But Fury would land more and even utilize his 280lb size with some rough tactics here and there.

    Fury UD

Isn't this what everyone was saying before Usyk schooled him twice, the same can be said in Ali's favour Fury has never faced anyone with such blurring hand speed, foot speed and combination punching.

A true mark of a great fighter is when they can adapt from a loss and correct the result in the rematch sadly Fury failed twice against Usyk proving beyond doubt he isn't as good.

If Ali fought Usyk twice I'd favour one win each and Ali against Fury Ali would be favourite probably 70/30 Fury is easy to hit and was knocked down numerous times against sub par opponents

Ali too much speed for Fury from the Usyk fights.

Slobbing up a guy who avoided 90% of his contemporaries, got beat up by Ngannou on debut and was getting outboxed by Cunningham. But of course this is cooperkuck we're talking about

It's all to make usyk look great
No doubt he like all the others called Fury a bum following Ngannou. Yet since usyk struggled to beat him, he is now an invincible titan that no heavyweight in history could beat (apart from mcdermott, Ngannou)

Fury looked pretty good on the eye test when fighting usyk (balance, speed, variability, reading the opponent and adapting) but failed twice. Usyk is just great is my view of things.

That said in the past fury was especially quick for a man his size when he was on the defense - not on the offense. He would have real trouble finding pre vietnam ali with his punches. I can't see it any other way. So for Ali it is enough to stay out of range and he will be much better at avoiding fury's punches while ali can dart in and score much easier. And then fury will definitely get tired quicker, while having to follow ali through the ring. This would be my general idea and it does not factor in all other strengths ali has on top. Fury's other strengths like manhandling smaller opponents i think would not be too much of a problem for ali

I would argue Ali hit harder than Usyk. Usyk almost stopped Fury. Ali was faster than Usyk and took shots to the body better. Bottom line it isn't a forgone conclusion that Fury beats Ali. Ali may have done much better than Usyk.

No evidence that Ali hits harder and Ali was much worse fighting on the front foot then Usyk

That's a great point. When he was forced to be an aggressor against Young he looked like shyte. He was in awful shape to be fair, but still.
