I don't agree for some of his opinions, but he actually did try and wanted to drag you into a fair debate.

I will never agree that the newer era of boxing would trump the older ones, but he's still giving his opinions on the issue and asking about your counterpoints,I don't like Aden but that dude did nothing wrong.

    Is it a fair debate?

He looks like he’s trolling to me.

    Okay.

I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt then.

I’ll happily do that on your say so.

    I’ll reply later.

I think Leonard could win in a technical chess match he showed vs Benitez who was also an upper echelon defensive fighter. That Leonard could fight very measured and out think and out fight his opponent and in the end he beat Benitez quite comphrensively.

Leonard is bigger, quicker hands, better combination puncher, far hard hitter at Welterweight.

Welterweight was not Mayweather's best weight he no longer had his power at the weight due to bad hands and he pretty much went the distance in all his fights at that weight.

I can't see Mayweather outpointing Leonard at Welterweight in all honestly. I see Leonard winning a competitive but clear decision over 12 rounds.

If its 15 rounds I think Leonard would separate himself even further from Mayweather.

Mayweather's specialty is outpointing, Mayweather can def outpoint Leonard, but I can also see Leonard outpoint Floyd, but my chances of seeing Floyd outpoint Leonard is higher than the chances I see of Leonard outpointing Floyd.

Thank you, despite all our disagreements and whatnot we are passionate and loving fans of the sport we grew up with. Debating people sharpens our minds and gives us an educational opportunities to experience other people's experiences and bias we have in the sports. All of my knowledge I have in boxing come from debating people and talking with older cats on the streets on their experiences of the age. I will admit I am in my early 20's and most the boxing I grew up watching is 2000's and 2010's and I can see the slight downfall in boxing, but every era has its ups and downs, no matter what era, I saw 80's and I loved the passion and the willingness of the best fighters fighting the best fighters, but I also don't like how everyone is so aggressive in the 80's and fighters from the 80's ending up with brain damage and poorness, take Hearns for example, I get a little wet up seeing one of my favorite boxers Hearns ending up like that.

Leonard def bigger, quicker hands doesn't do much if both have quick hands, combination punching is also a good facet but we saw in the hagler fight flurries don't do much. Hard hitting doesn't do much if your defense is god level, the reason why I can see Leonard edging it is his size, that's it, that's literally it, but that's a testament to Floyd's greatness, he can go up in weight and fight the best at that weight and bang with them. Neither knocks out each other, but if Floyd is super smart, he can outpoint Leonard to a controversial decision.

You can say that about any post, I could too, but I have debated too many casuals to know who is trolling and who is not, but sure, go ahead, what do you want to debate about?

Leonard doesn't, and couldn't 'use' his size here though. He's not gonna grapple and clinch Floyd, weigh him down, and he's not gonna land clean against the defense of Floyd. This is one of those rare fights where I might say the smaller man has an advantage because it will be a fast paced masterclass by both and I think Floyd will land more, although Leonard IS more powerful, I don't think it matters here.

That's why there are 12 rounds instead of 15. People always use the 15 rounds card in arguments, that's not a good argument because mainly, that 15 rounds can benefit either fighter. If Floyd knew that a boxing match was 15 rounds, surely that would change the way he fights a lot differently, second of all Floyd cardio too good, too good. You could watch the fight late, you could watch the last round and Floyd would look like he just started the match, that's how good Floyd cardio is, so the 15 rounds card is not a good argument to pull.

There's no such thing as an "unfair" debate. It's either you're a good debater or not, you can't cheat in a debate, no one's judging, it's just a battle of wits and he comes unprepared does not fare well that he who came highly prepared. That's just how it is
