    Jakhongir Zokirov?

Ah, the young 21 year old Uzebek giant with a father as a trainer. He is a special puncher, a 9-10 level power hitter, but these really big heavies need to develop a little longer. He is offensively gifted and has an inside and outside game which is most usual for a big man, Not fast handed.

Good list but would you not regard Jai Opetaia as a top prospect given that he is likely to move up to heavyweight at some point?

I'm excited about him as well, he has a great foundation in his power and speed with a high ceiling if he is brought along well.

I hope he continues to improve and work on and add to his game. He has a lot of potential especially with the division opening up post Fury/AJ/Wilder/Usyk era.

In English please. I will translate:

What about Tremoyana? His defensive weaknesses were exposed in his recent fight against James Singh, and there is considerable room for improvement. I have been following him since the Paris Olympics, and his progress is truly amazing, especially after watching his matches against Jarolov in the 2023 IBA World Championships and the 2024 Paris Olympics quarterfinals. I am glad that Eddie Herland has repeatedly emphasized from the first fight he scheduled that he will continue to play, play 8 games in 2025, and step by step play stronger and stronger opponents. His style is exactly what the professional game needs. David Surov has a lot of experience in the fight against Jarolov. I watched it many times. Considering that he quickly defeated opponents he lost to in the Russian national team, I am very excited about his future.

Teremoana has been flagged in the Australian boxing g thread by Sandman a lo g time back ... and it's great to have an Australian in the HW belt potential mix. He seems like a likable bloke outside the ring. A fight against Huni in Australia isn't impossible ... at some point.

Just saw this kid. Amazing. Good jab, Massive left hand, uses his left hand to the body and head effectively, good jab, strong fundamentals in keeping his chin tucked, good chin in that when he does get hit he seems to take it just fine, can fight off the back foot or the front foot. Not quick handed but a tall southpaw who has everything else.

He is young at only 20 so the question is: how long is he going to stay in the amateurs? Is he going to be the next Jalolov? Or is he going to take things more serious and turn pro?

Can anyone confirm Moses Itauma's actual height? I have read everything from 6'3 to 6'6.

I am personally not counting Kabayel as a prospect since he is already a top 5 heavyweight in the world.

I think these guys are the top prospects:

    1. Itauma - quick hands, excellent power, immense confidence. Only his chin and stamina are unknowns right now.

    2. Wardley - perhaps not the best all round boxer but he can punch and will likely get a title shot in the next 2 years.

    3. Opetaia- i know he hasn't moved up but he seems like a determined guy. His only question mark at heavy is defense. If he can fix it, he can go a long way due to his amazing offensive ability.

    4. Okolie - being a UK fighter, he is bound to get a title shot at some point. He has a massive right hand and i can see him doing well.

    5. Teremona - early days but he is big and strong with a big right hand. Too early to tell if his heart is in boxing but he has the size and power needed at this level.

    6. Huni - a quick and well rounded boxer. Good punching variety. Lacks top shelf power which will probably prevent him from being great but he likely will be a fixture in the top 10 for some time to come.

    7. Jalolov - other than Itauma, maybe the most gifted. But i have written him off. He will soon drop off my top 10 unless something major happens. Dude just isn't interested.

    8. Mullajonov - another Uzbek Olympic Gold medalist left hander. Very talented. Way too early to rank him any higher but in terms of natural ability, he is more talented than half the guys above him.

    9. Torrez Jr - quick and hard hitting and determined. Is on the shorter side and doesn't seem to have the footwork to compensate for that. His leaky defense will likely cost him at some point but he is a hard hitter who is bound to be a fixture in the top 10.

Thanks. Your list is excellent and very interesting too.

    No. Canadian.

I am merely rating the UK guys high as i think they are likely to fulfill their potential. Jalolov should be #1 or #2 on my list and yet the dude can't even fight journeymen. I am losing hope in him due to his refusal to seek big fights.

I do think that the next great heavyweight is likely to be Eastern European or Central Asian (like Mullajonov, for example). But those fighters haven't yet made that much progress in the pros yet. So i can't rate them highly just yet.

    Prospects? 25 and under

    Itauma
    Huni
Jared Anderson (though he wants to allegedly retire in 2 years so how can I take him seriously)

Teremoana is 27 but he would be up next
I kind of liked what I saw from Mourad Aliev as well, though he's 29.
    Suslenkov is 29

    Guys going nowhere
Fisher 26 years old, dead in the water when he steps up
Jurk 24 years old, could improve but gets tagged too easily on the chin
Torrez 25, fun and exciting but he's getting destroyed sooner or later unless moved with the utmost care, his fight with Vianello isn't a sure win either
Lorenzo Medina 20 years old, fast hands but small and overweight (if I'm remembering this guy right)

Vartan Artyunyan 25, haven't seen any of him, is he any good?
Pero is 25? Haven't seen him

Jalalov is 30, hasn't had a pro fight in 1.5 years and is teasing another Olympic run, I can't take him seriously though he's obviously skilled
