2x Fury, 2x aj, 2x Dubois, 2x Chisora, 2x undisputed champion. Is this top 5 ?

I have to agree with this. Heavyweight has always been a division with large gaps in talent between the levels of fighters (due simply to the fact it has a shallower talent pool than lower divisions). Therefore quantity of 'good' wins and longevity means more for ranking at Heavy than other weights imo. Eras like the 70s are actually anomalies in Heavyweight history.

For Usyk to get top 5, he either has to score an ATG win as a heavy (impossible in this era) or rack up more title defenses over solid contenders ala Louis, Wlad etc. From the way it's going, neither is going to happen.

Also, people here mistake proper resume ranking with H2H ability. Very annoying.

 

Sensible post I wish more people thought like you it's baffling to see some of the posts on here.

It's not even like your that harsh on him though you give him his props.

There's a difference between a pure hater who finds anyway to discredit a fighter and never gives him his props.

You certainly don't fall into that category.

But I do think he gets overrated at times I've heard comments on here where people think he's greater than Mayweather, Pacquiao, and I find comments like that absolutely bizarre.

And threads like proclaiming he'd be a top 5 Heavyweight of all time for beating Dubois again ? Pull the other one mate.

I fall into the same category as you I recognize he's a great fighter but I don't think he's quite on the pedestal that alot on here put him on.

 

You do it without trolling though, so it's commendable

I will say I'm less harsh about him away from the forum. I still think he rates higher p4p than his accolades at hw. But hey, it's a forum we can't all agree about everything, or there would be no discussion!!

 

I agree in a short space of time we have seen what they have done.

Of course it's hypothetical but that's how I see it as well.
