Glass chin, easily KOed by Ajagba in round one.

Appropriate opponent for Wilder at this point in his career.

I still want to see Joshua-Wilder later in 2025, although both are evidently past prime.

TBF to Deontay there are plenty of no hopers without a punch.

This fight is like two friends in the neighborhood arranging a fight so that the poorer friend can make money..

    Jason Gavern type affair.

Probably will end up like the Sconiers fight but this time he won't get up lol

A lot of hypocrites in this thread.

This fight is like Joseph Parker vs. Faiga Opelu in 2023 (a year and a half ago).

Or Joseph Parker vs. Shawndell Winters in 2020 ...

Except Parker was in his prime for those fights, and Wilder will be 40 this year and is currently retired.

These are fights all top heavyweights have on their records, especially old ones. Wilder isn't a top-10 heavyweight now. He has no titles. He owes no one anything. He can fight guys like this every month if he chooses.

It just shows how few of these guys Wilder has faced in the last dozen or so years, given that people are so disappointed when he does.

Texas state champion whose ranked the 286 best HW by boxerrec. So this guy is below regional level.

Texas boxing has seen better days.

He's fighting someone who has never beaten a +500 opponent and who has lost every fight by KO, including to someone who's barely a prospect...............ok man.

    Just retire.

And among the top 10 Australian heavyweights if he was born in Australia. It's all relative.

He's a good athlete. That's about it. Again, they all fight these guys. People just tend to ignore it when others do.

Gassiev has ONLY been fighting these guys for years now (except when he 'stepped up' and lost to Wallin).

You have to understand, wilder obviously creates so much emotion in people it makes them hypocritical

Sticking to a similar standard to his title reign I see. Never heard of the guy.

Wilder is back to fighting guys of that caliber who he built his career up on.

I won't disrespect any competitor by labeling them a bum or anything like that but this guy Wilder is schedule to face this summer...... I'm almost positive he has a 9-5 outside of boxing.

I looked him up and could only watch 2 minutes of his work before deciding I've seen enough.

Wilder, the marketing machine he has been, should have reached out to Jake Paul for a high profile exhibition. We all now see what I saw years ago. He's not an elite talent, but at least this will put him on the biggest stage with PPV and maybe he can catch Paul with that club punch and do what the 60 year old Tyson held back from doing.

He will pack in 500 people into that massive stadium in Wichita Falls.

He will probably struggle against a Jason Gavern style opponent, (strikingly similar to his title run)and probably get knocked out badly.

His chin, which was poor before, is cracked now. He's finished.
