Honestly very hard to tell what Whyte got left in the tank. Less than Joyce I think. But if Joyce loses his next fight he better retires.
That's exactly what I'm afraid of....I'm reluctant to go there. But it's exactly why I hate the matchup. It's a fair assessment.
I think Joyce wins by stoppage. Hrgovic gets lazy in the ring, and it'll backfire badly against Joyce.
something I meant to mention about that KD — if you watch, Chisora kind of leaned back into the ropes and bounced off them to gain some extra momentum for that punch, it was his signature punch, and it landed absolutely flush. That shot would probably have knocked down a lot of guys. Not really sure it’s some big stain on Joyce.
I don't see a future for Joyce under Salas, hope I'm wrong but he should've changed trainers long ago.
I hope Hrgovic beats him, because thats likely curtains for Joyce. And Hrgovic is unlikely to hurt him badly. I was one of the very few who predicted that Chisora would beat Joyce, and I based that prediction on Joyce being washed up. Joyce has never been the best of athletes, but his reflexes were solid and his defense was underrated. However against Kash Ali he looked precisely how his biggest detractors described him: no head movement, no defense, slow punches. A man once vaulted for his killer jab is now just mindlessly plodding forward into punching range, and often ends up smothering his own punches.
Joyce looked like Frankenstein wandering around the ring against kash Ali, he’s done I think hrgy bear stops him mid rounds
I'd love to see Joe get a big win here. I wonder if his defeat to Del looks a little less bad since Del went on and battered Wallin? Engine and heart are what Joe is all about, two things you'd question in Hrgovic. Might be entertaining, if Joe's chin holds up.
Prime for prime Joyce beats Whyte comfortably. These days they're both washed so it would come down to who's got anything at all left in the tank.
Why is it only 10 rounds? Joyce's best asset is his stamina and work rate in the late rounds, he shouldn't keep agreeing to fight 10 rounders. He probably would've beaten Chisora in a 12 rounder as well.
I just don't see it that way at all. Joyce could maybe win wide margin is my issue. Whyte is the more accomplished fighter to me. It's a coin flip match to me (not wide margin) Either way it's a better match them two than Joyce vs Hrgovic.
