Spencer was complaining about the judges for his fight with Tim Tszyu this weekend.
Tim gave him some facts about what Aussie's and other away fighters have to deal with in the US.
Anyway Spencer got what he wanted the judges are all neutral now.

If this goes to the judges then Tim really should retire.

Boohoohoo. It's not fair if it's Australian judges. Waaaaaaaaa.

We want an American judge because American judges are so unbiased.

Haney did the same thing when he fought Kambosos x 2 in Australia. The refs and judges all had to be neutral

Loma vs Haney in the US

Loma vs Teofimo in the US

Loma vs GRJ in the US

All the officials were from the US

Tszyu vs Gausha in the US

Ref and all three judges from the US

    Tsyzu vs Harrison in Australia

Ref and 2 judges from neutral countries. 1 Aussie judge

    Tszyu vs Mendoza in Australia

Ref American, 2 neutral judges, 1 Aussie judge

Tsyzu vs Fundora in the US

Ref and all three judges from the US

Spencer is a disciple of have gloves won't travel Dre who had home refs for all his fights and a scandalous amount of home judges so it's even more ironic. He models himself on him. I can even see it in his mannerisms. I really dislike him and I hope Tszyu knocks him smooth out in embarrassing and HL reel fashion.

From what I've seen of Spencer he would appear to be the beatable guy that Tim's team wanted for his return.

Tim appears to be the stronger fighter and have the power edge by a fair bit. Maybe I haven't seen enough of Spencer, but he looks to be someone who should be a fairly comfortable win for Tim if, if Tim is on the ball.

    But appearance doesn't mean ****.

No one really knows where Tim's head is at. The loss to Murtazaliev was as devastating as they get.

Tsyzu should win easy on paper but he doesn't have the best team.. coming back not even 6 months after getting damaged like he did against Murtazaliev isn't smart, punch resistance may not be there Sunday, that sort of fight warranted 12-15 months out.

Spencer seems like an idiot who thinks he’s smart.

“You’re trying to psyche yourself up”

By saying he doesn’t care about the judges?, and Aussie fighters don’t get that luxury when they travel?

    That’s a novel way of psyching one’s self up for a fight….

His attitude and entitled act makes me sad he’s an American and representing us there (but unsurprised.)

Hope Tim makes quick work of him now…

Really unlucky discussion emerging from this. I think every one of us is for more neutral judges in boxing and still there is now rather an emotion of retaliation (us fighters should fight home judges on foreign soil, too, so it is fair) rather than everyone agreeing that there should always be neutral judges.

I measure the success of this incident in whether there will be a discussion on the home judging in the us in the next big fights in relation to this.

I don't expect it to happen sadly. But i really like that serge keeps on pointing it out

So, what I'm I missing? US fighters fight on foreign soil, request neutral judges and it's granted. Do foreign fighters request neutral judges when they fight in the US and are denied? Do they threaten to not fight and are paid extra to except the conditions?

The Fundora loss was team Tszyu’s fault as it should have been stopped after the third round.

The Bakhram loss was Tszyu’s fault as he didn’t adapt after getting dropped hard multiple times.

Tszyu should handle this guy without too much difficulty, a 10 round contest going to the cards with a victory for Tszyu.

6 months? He got stopped in 3 rounds. The worst thing that’s hurt IMO is probably his confidence (which can be a big problem for a fighter, to be fair).

To me punch resistance would be expected to take a bigger toll after a longer fight, but even getting stopped the way he did, I don’t think it would impact punch resistance that badly, nearly 6 months should be plenty of time. When would you think he should resume hard sparring if you think that’s too early to fight?

I’m not trying to be antagonistic, just curious about your opinion.

There is no guarantee in boxing the judges are ‘neutral’ regardless of where they come from.
