15 rounds,@Flo_Raiden once said that Wilfredo Gomez could've fought and unified with an obscure Argentinian champ named Sergio Victor Palma. Thinking this matchup was similar,I made this thread,I'm sure most would've make Galindez a huge underdog.. But I don't think he gets finished fast,I don't think Saad was a fast starter that could take Galindez's head off from 1-4, Saad might stop him around the championship rounds but imo Galindez would showcase his heart,machismo,and skills to be competitive with Saad,pretty much Saad vs Lopez but probably more lopsided to Saad.
Galindez's jab and reach would keep Saad at bay but not very long. It would be a competitive match but Saad takes it by late round stoppage unless he gets cut, then all bets are off but even so, I still think Saad wins.
The funny thing about that match is that not even Argentinians believed Palma could win On a documentary about Palma I watched 20 years or so ago, on an Argentine television channel that i receive, towards the end, the commentator said Palma wanted to fight Gomez, and then he said "Gomez was at such a high level above Palma that it was like Heaven and Earth. I would have given it five or six rounds before it was over. But Sergio Palma was certainly a great boxer and a credit to Argentine boxing" Lol He was absolutely speaking the truth. But I give Palma credit for wanting to fight the beast of his weight. ANd he was a great champion in the WBA, defending his title 5 times. Anyways...sorry i got off topic a bit!
Palma had balls bigger than his ability lol,either way I still respect him for all that,not many fighters would step up and challenge a beast that's out of their league without that much money and timing.
Matthew would probably be behind after 8-9 rounds — he always was — but he just kept getting stronger and those early rounds he lost seemed to take an ungodly toll on his opponents. He was stronger than a bull and had more absolute determination than probably any fighter I’ve ever seen. He chops Galindez down somewhere around the 11th or 12th as he puts his foot on the gas.
I just had to do a quick search on the engine. This is the 9th time this subject has been created on this forum. But that's OK, because it's one of the most intriguing matchups - along with Marciano v Frazier and Olivares v Zarate - that I can relate to. Incidentally, I see Galindez taking this in a war.
First Galindez supporter,damn. But I'm not too surprised if he managed to found a way out too, Galindez had a seemingly endless bags of tricks, he's the type of dude that would lose 3 of the 5 championship rounds and round out the scores for the other 2.
Miracle Matt pulls out another one of his miracles and getting rocked and nearly stopped, Galindez is able to counter him over the top and when Saad commits, he eats him up inside to the body and with uppercuts also as Saad is more upright which means Galindez is able to counter over the top taking his own head off the centre line whilst Saad stays on the centre line, and doing the same on the inside “, bringing himself to the side off the centre and throwing his own uppercuts to the Saad who stays on the centre line, going to the body first to set it up. A battered Saad gains a second wind and puts together a barrage on the tiring Galindez and stops him through will and great stamina.
