    Here's the reality
Klitschko wouldn't even fight old semi retired Sanders twice.
Wouldn't have a rematch with Brewtser till he was half blind and medically unfit to box.
Went to the courts to avoid rematching Davarryl Williamson.
Pulled out against Derrick Chisora on the advice of Manny Steward.
Wouldn't have even fought Povetkin once with a fair ref and refused to prove he could beat him fairly in a rematch

When James Bashir says - get past this one and look better in the next. That means win by whatever means necessary and never go near him again.
And people think risk adverse , carefully managed Klitschko is going to have 3 wars with Holyfield back to back? lol.
A fantasy perception that has zero basis in reality.

BN forum contributor wrote this when Povetkin requested a rematch with fair officiating,

I feel like Holyfield will end up getting the short stick in these bouts, whether it being through two losses or three. Despite that, I do think Evander still provides an insanely hard stylistic challenge for Wladimir, and their match will be a big, heavyweight sized version of Chess. Both fighters have to be an equal amount of careful, calculated, and courageous in these fights to pull out a win.

Wlad can't be overly cautious and Holyfield can't have his typical lackluster defense... These two must bring their best, and us fans just get to watch. Damn, what a trilogy this would be.

To be fair I find it hard to believe that most of the top level boxers or even were/aren't not on something. The chance Holyfield took PED's and his opponents didn't had to

Clean sweep for Holy for me.
My only caveat is that he was inconsistent so in that sense it wouldn't surprise me if he blew one of them and lost 1.

Funny cause it was Povetkin's camp who won a purse bid and staged the fight in Moscow with the ref they themselves picked. Excuses, excuses.

Ya no. Povetkins camp lost the bid. Third party Russia billionaire business man beat both Pov and K2.
Team pov did not pick the ref ,that was abundantly clear by the fact Pabon was acting like Wlads tag team partner.
In the lead up Bernd Bontey specifically stated there would be no fight unless their conditions were met.
Klitschko had that ref installed by the wba. Otherwise he would never have entered into the ring.

I think Holyfields defense is better than he's often given credit for, he was very Dynamic and moved extremely well with punches, very fluid with excellent rhythm. In fact, I would say that his defense is the main reason that he is perceived as having a Rock Solid chin, which is a myth I don't think Holyfield had that great of a chin, and I say this as a huge fan of his. He tended to get shaken up when caught with even a decent shot.

Anyway, I see him being crafty enough to avoid the brunt of Wladimir's jab which would be crucial in this fight. That would allow Holyfield to get on the inside where he can nullify the power and work his combinations. If Wladimir clutches at Holyfield, Evander was good enough and smart enough and had the timing enough and the BALLS enough to just take a half step back, and crack him with something serious.

Concerning performance enhancing drugs, I now just assume that all the top fighters have been on them for a long time. At least Holyfield worked his ass off and not only maximized his potential, but ended up a solid top 10 heavyweight ATG. Wladimir does not make my top 10.

this is a terrible fight for Holyfield. Terrible. A tall outfighter, with a great jab, controlling the dyatans, fights with Lewis and Holmes showed that this is not a good style for Evander. I consider him a better boxer than Wlad, certainly in the sense of P4P but I think that prime Wlad would win each of the 3 fights with Holyfield. these would be points like with Lewis, maybe once before time

    Bit of a canard, though.

    1) We don't know if some did or didn't, as much as we would like to assume.

    2) He was taking HGH, which is several orders or magnitude worse than taking some mild pro-steroid or something.

He was caught having HGH shipped to his home. He owns it.
