Jaron Ennis had an excellent fight. He has power, jaw, and reflexes. Ortiz is much stronger than Stanionis, but he's also easier to hit. But I think Vergil has the punch to knock out Ennis, and Ennis has the strength to knock out Vergil. How would this fight go?

I think ennis beats him, I think his survival skills are being underrated, he has been hurt and can clinch, block, roll. He gets hit so much and i suspect it's because has an iron chin but he's never faced a puncher like Vergil so we'll see

Ennis has fast hands but that’s pretty much it. He reminds me of broner when he was dominating 135 and as soon as he moved up all those defensive flaws started to affect him. I just don’t see boots dominating at those higher weights

We have to see Ennis fighting guys his own size who can punch before we can make any conclusions about his chin.

Yes he's took flush punches but from much smaller guys who look 2 or 3 weightclasses smaller than him and they don't have concussive power.

Let's see Ennis move up to 154 and offer his chin up on a platter to the Russian boxer who stopped Tszyu then we'll see how good his chin really is.

Ennis has to move up to 154 so we can see what his true level is.

Villa is as big as ennis with power but he's just a fringe contender that fight is online

Ortiz is better than Stanionis in every way, including defense. You should look at Stanionis' previous fights if you think Ortiz is easier to hit.

Ennis has a problem with his defense and he's been fighting smaller light hitting fighters. We'll know how well he takes shots when he gets hit by a good puncher his own size.

I would favor Ortiz right now given his caliber of opposition.

I don't see it being competitive, Boots is a disaster waiting to happen. It's not that he gets hit, but he gets hit flush when there should be no reason for even getting hit. He just stands there defenceless looking at his work. He does this in every fight, it's a habit that he will find difficult to break. If he does this against Ortiz or any of the other top guys at 154 he is going to sleep.

Villa got flattened recently by a journeyman in 3 rounds it took Ennis 10 rounds of pummelling him to get rid of him.

That fight has no barring on how Ennis does vs the upper echelon big hitters of 154.

50/50 fight. Boots is a highly skilled fighter and could put his combinations together very well, Ortiz would have to put non stop pressure and force Boots into a war, I don't think he can beat Boots on the back foot. We might get that fight sooner rather than Later though.

That doesn't mean Villa can't punch, he hurt the dude before getting caught on the button. Ennis has a good chin, he just hasn't fought an elite fighter with power

I can see either guy winning it. Hard for me to say who would impose their style on the other because I havent seen how Ennis handles someone as big/bigger than him.

    Would be a great fight.

50/50 for me and it may be a great competitive fight.
