Usyk is a Master of Boxing, He's completed the whole boxing game, whilst being undersized at HW and had nothing given to him on a plate. Exceptional Boxer and Human being. One of the Greatest Boxers to ever live.
Fury is a fantastic heavyweight. But 'nearly' is not good enough. It's the small margins that define greatness.
Here is the problem with that take - light years away from his prime a Holmes could STILL be competitive with much younger heavyweights because of one thing and one thing only; that jab.
Frazier was just so relentless that if you watch him in his prime he just doesn't stop coming forward and he has insane stamina and Usyk doesn't have the power to keep Frazier at bay especially in a 15 round fight.
Frazier is just different in that I had the sense that he was willing to die in that ring and you had better be prepared for that if you step into the ring with him. You could see the hunger that he had, especially when he was in his prime, from coming from the type of poverty he came from.
Take your time and read my original post and then try and respond accordingly. if you want to engage, force feeding your point on an argument I’m clearly not involved will not be very productive, maybe you can try doing that to someone on your level.
I'm not arguing anything other then based on an observation. I hear all this past generation vs present generation or todays heavyweights vs yesterdays heavyweights and what I was pointing out is that Frazier was different in the way he fought that it would not have mattered what generation he fought in his work ethic and hunger would have been determining factors. The entire thread is pretty foolish to begin with as Usyk is a fine fighter in his own right but you beat 3 good heavyweights have a total of 7 bouts I believe in the heavyweight division and somehow your going to beat great fighters that fought heavyweight their entire careers?
No he doesn't and its just an attempt to over hype a fighter you like. Fury was a very good win but lets not forget he got dropped by a boxer making thier pro debut. If he had the power he stops both Fury and Joshua and he didn't in 4 bouts.
Frazier had an iron chin and had to have an iron chin based on the way he fought. And Frazier contrary to belief was much harder to hit then many people give him credit for. Who stopped Frazier ? Foreman who is one of the greatest punchers in the history of the division. And Ali in the 3rd fight was the corner stopping the fight. Next your going to tell me that he hits as hard as a Foreman right ?
Nobody ever stopped him in his prime except for Foreman. His style of fighting you have to have ability to take punishment because you are going to receive it getting to the inside of your opponent and since Frazier operates 100% on the inside all the time and is going forward you have to have a very good chin to fight like that there is no other way around that. Only 3 boxers ever put Joe down and only one could finish him off.
So how could you say he has an iron chin ? Bonavena dropped him twice and Fraizer has never beaten a big puncher. Usyk has a better chin than Frazier
