This is apparently for some IBF intergalactic title, so 12 rounds surely would have been the deal from the start. What chance Whittaker has realised against good sparring partners who apply pressure he can't do the distance, and just told Boxxer to make 2 scheduled rounds disappear? The fight is less than 4 days away and this is an embarrassment for everybody on team Whittaker.

So is it going ahead? I can almost guarantee that Cameron takes it anyway, as it's still a (probably decent) payday and exposure, I can't see that he's got loads of options.

Boxrec has it as a ten rounder

Mental that it's still not sorted. That's all that's gonna be talked about at final press conference. Shambles.

Hearn talking about this shambles on Talksport yet he does not promote either man.

Should focus on his own UK stable and cards as he is serving up some real turd for DAZN UK Subscribers

What started as an embarrassing admin mess up has ended up generating another big talking point for the fight.

At this point I wouldn't be at all surprised if all involved are just keeping the story going as its working as a headline grabber.you can't scroll boxing social media for seeing everyone's interview or opinion on it. The fight is getting bigger everyday for sure. There are 2 major shows this weekend but only 1 is getting any attention.

I think its beneficial for Cameron too.his profile grew overnight after the controversial ending of the fight and now he's getting more headlines.good luck to the guy.

Compulsive liar Hearn conveniently forgetting the past.

December 2018 - Josh Kelly was due to fight David Avanesyan on the undercard of Kell Brook v Michael Zerafa. Matchroom sent Avanesyan a contract for 12 rounds by accident (they intended it for 10). Fight week comes along, Avanesyan doesn’t budge on it being 12, Team Kelly & Matchroom threaten to pull out of the fight unless it’s changed to 10, Avanesyan still doesn’t budge, Kelly pulls out ‘ill’ on the day of the weigh in.

Fast forward to early 2020 and the fight is rescheduled. Hearn admits to Neil Marsh (Avanesyan’s manager) during the press conference that sending a contract for 12 rounds was an error on Matchroom’s part.

But of course according to Hearn this is the worst thing he’s ever seen and it’s never ever happened before.

Not all titles are over 12 rounds though, lots of them are just ranking titles for that organisation and are over 10 rounds. Stupid mistake by Boxxer and it will cost them ££ to rectify. Another lesson for them and shows that they even given they have the Sky contract that they are still in their infancy within the boxing game.

I expect it all to be sorted out, the fight be ten rounds and Liam Cameron being handsomely compensated financially for accepting the fight at 10 rounds rather then the original contract of 12 rounds. The fight itself, I think Whittaker wins on points in a scrappy fight.

I cannot believe that was 2018!

Boxing has really gone downhill in UK over recent years
