I am still in shock from the haymaker Dubois hit Joshua with in the first round! How did it happen?

Glass jawed fighter wouldn't take so many shots from big punchers and still stood up. His chin isn't great by any stretch of imagination, but definitely isn't below average. His powers of recovery and the way he panics after taking shots is his biggest flaw.

 

Joshua's main problem is that he has terrible powers of recovery. For example, I would actually class Fury as pretty chinny but he has amazing powers of recovery, almost superhuman. Once Joshua gets clipped bad, that's him done for the whole fight. And since Ruiz, he knows that, which is why he's tried to fight so cautiously ever since. I can't imagine we will ever see that bulldozing version of Joshua after this. Any little confidence he had left in his ability to take a punch has evaporated.

 

He gets knocked down by every big punch. He’s Glass Jawed. This isn’t up for debate.

This is simply not true. He took some clean shots from Klitschko, Povetkin, Breazeale and Whyte. All of them were at least decent punchers and he didn't go down. He also took a lot of shots from Dubois without getting knocked down. Glass jawed fighter wouldn't be able to do that.

 

Rubbish AJ never lost hunger and is a very disciplined athlete who wants more than anything to succeed however he's in the hurt business where a bodybuilding bum cannot succeed. He got gifted a gold medal and every belt he's ever won, he's a manufactured fraud who I'd knock out myself.

Dubois foot placement had always been above average. Even watch his early fights, he never hurried, never left himself in harms way, he is a much smarter fighter than many give him credit for

This is going to shock people, but, the reason he got hit with such a basic shot is because, get this, HE IS SIMPLY NOT AS GOOD AS ADVERTISED. He's not the elite champion you were sold. That's it.

AJ is a worse version of Frank Bruno, over muscled, weak chin, terrible stamina, and limited boxing skills. Honestly, I think Bruno was probably a better boxer, and he was pretty awful, especially late in his fights when he gassed out.
