    He had lost his 0 in April 2006 against Zab Judah. When Roger came into the ring, that should have been an automatic DQ and Mayweather's record would have been tarnished. Would he have taken more risks if he could no longer market himself as 'undefeated and unbeatable' and fought those fighters in 2007-2010?

    What people forget is that Mayweather was not in his prime when he fought these guys either he was in his late 30s and above his best weightclass with bad hands.

    Yes, but people forget also that when Arum offered him 8m or whatever to fight Margarito, he instead got 8m to fight the champion baldomir

    Cotto was heavier, the champ and younger for crying out loud lol

    Why would he fight Margarito instead of the Welterweight Champion especially when he was paid a bit more money to do so. Guys he beat up ravaged Margarito. At times like this I really miss our friend C.J. May his blessed soul rest in perfect peace.

    Yes I miss him too
    I was major shocked to find out he was in his 80s. I also thought he was in his 50s for some reason. He didn't like Wolfie, that's for sure lol

    Then Floyd fought two champions below his weightclass after his fake retirement (Marquez and Hatton) even though there were actual competition in Welterweight at that time. Guess who is doing the same strategy as Floyd? Answer is Tank, he is fighting champions below his weightclass.

    Floyd began his career at 130 so that shouldn’t be a problem. I bet that you never complained about Broner being the naturally smaller fighter when Maidana beat him.

    Floyd fought at WW multiple times already. Fans were asking him to fight the best fighters on own his division not below. Maidana is not as good as Floyd, of course expectations were lower for Maidana and higher for Floyd. Also Floyd being the main draw can fight any fighter he wants. It is very similar to Tank career trajectory at this point.

    Pacquiao was also criticized for fighting Algieri and Bradley III but at least he had an excuse for it, being PBC and Top Rank didn't want to work with each other for awhile. Now what's the excuse for Floyd for not fighting Spence, Porter or Thurman?
